Reasonable price for being able to work out at home. Bought them because of Covid. Still using them if I don't go to the gym.

So I've been working out for the past few months with kettlebells and dumbbells. I had a trial at a gym and of course the barbell equipment was the first to be tied up. I bought this to experience a good workout at home and I was not disappointed. This came packaged very well with all pieces inside. It only took a few minutes to set up and no one of the pieces were damaged. The clamp is a little hard for me because I have arthritis in my hands, but I can manage after a few tries. I am impressed with the quality and ease of product. I am excited to incorporate this into my workouts. Im starting out with 35 weight instead of the 55. Hopefully I will work my way up to this soon. Thank you. It is a little wobbly if the clamps arent close enough to the weights, but it is manageable.

The barbell is nice but I didn’t realize the weights were plastic from the photos. Also there’s no grip texture on the barbell. Good for light weights.

I ordered 3 of these so we could workout as a family. One set was missing 1 5lbs weight and 1 10 lbs weight. I was preparing myself for the hassle of trying to find someone to contact, send back, talk to robots etc. There was a piece of paper in the box that said if you have any problems call. I called and entered the extension for customer service and got someone in 3 seconds. I told them the issue they got it sorted out and my address for the replacement weights and I was off the phone in about 3 minutes!To my shock not only was that a customer service miracle I called on Thursday and the Weights showed up at my house on Saturday! Today is Sunday and we are going to have a family workout!!!I was shocked at the quality for the price. The bar is strong, metal, and has some heft to it (5 lbs). It is screwed together in 2 places but with tons of threading. It'll work great for the plates it comes with. You can sort of fit 4 10s on each side if you had them. I ordered some 2.5#s to come with this so I can make smaller adjustments.I'm a personal trainer and we have tons of stuff at our studio but I wanted some for home with my kids. I don't want to pay any more than is needed. This was the cheapest I could find but better than I've seen. It would be hard to find this weight any cheaper at a garage sale! These will last years and years. Probably longer than I will as long as you aren't dropping or throwing them.Cheap and with killer customer service this is a no brainer if you are looking for a light weight set!

So I really have Mix feeling for this set?! I really like the bar & the weights that comes with it, the issue is1; those clips, when I try to clip it to position it's not smooth also doesn't really secure it all the way, it's a bit loose, so when I do the lifting it's a little off, even when I try to,do adjustments it's still not fit perfectly so to speak, and that makes me really uncomfortable because it could throw me off balance......2; the weight comes in only either 5 or 10lbs so that itself doesn't leave me too much option when it comes to lifting,Anyway; time will tell.Update; so I have been looking for extra weight plates the last couple of days for this set and the pulley system I just bought, so after doing so much research, comes to find out; this set is probably the best. Deal out their!!!!1; the way the set was build up, the other brand would have cost double if not more!! And the quality would probably be less. ( even thou the clipping pin needs more improvement I think.... ).2; the price; this set is definitely the best deal.Conclusion; I am giving this a upgrade; a 5 star instead of the 3 I give before. ( if anyone knows if this brand sales more individual plates or plate set please let me know, Thank you.

I recently purchase this barbell set to be able to lift weights at home. It was easy to put together. The items seems quite sturdy. Now if only I was stronger. . .

I got this set to do Les Mills BodyPump on demand from home. While I am not a beginner, I am nowhere near expert, and I use light weights. So I didn't want to spend a lot of $$ on weights.The set serves the purpose but I am not a fan of the old-school clips that hold the weights on. With BodyPump, the transitions are fast so you need to be able to change the weights quickly. The little pinch clips take a minute to put on and off, compared to the ones at the gym. I was really struggling with that and was missing a few of the reps until I had my aha/duh moment. It's on demand. Hit the pause button, silly! And then all was good.
