Looks & Sound
The monitor looks just like the picture except for the thickness of the edges on the side of the screen. The picture shows its thinner but its a lot thicker than the photo. The speakers are not the best, the noise sounds crunchy but it works just fine with headphones. Great product.

Bang for the buck
You need to make sure to use the correct settings. Initially it wasn’t working well and the ghosting was bad, but then I spoke with the Sceptre customer support and they told me some settings which really improved the performance of the monitor, and brought it up to a 5* from 3*

This is one of the top ten things i have ever bought
I have vision issues and my 17" laptop screen just wasn't cutting it anymore, so I bought this. It is amazing. I held off in writing a review until I bought a PC with a gaming video card with a display port. It worked just fine on my laptop with an HDMI cable, but with the display port and running at 165 Hz, it is incredible.This is a great deal and a fine bit of electronics. Buy it.

it doesn't lag, but isn't clear enough
My laptop has a substantially clearer screen than this. It definitely performs with regard to gaming and reducing lag onscreen, but doesn't deliver crisp text, for example; you can clearly see the "fuzz" that comes with many lower-tier monitors.It's not worth it to me to return it at this point because I've already completed setup, but just fyi if you're looking for a monitor to perform multiple tasks instead of just gaming. You'd think for the price that it could deliver crisp static images, too.
