Simple but good
Working on Vauxhall front cradle and suspension found some bolts with a pitch of m12x 1.75 and some with m12x 1.5 you could easily think just a bit tight as they are very similar visually but these show immediately the difference saved stripping captive nuts built into to chassis . Simple but very affective

Excellent product with most common thread combinations easily available
Very easy to use with both metric and imperial measures. Both male and female threads, and clear markings.Removes all the uncertainty from understanding which thread is on which bolt, nut etc.

Hard to use the male thread checkers
This is actually quite a poorly designed product. It's fine if you have bolts and you simply want to measure their size (M4 or M5 etc), although even then, it only works if your bolts are of standard thread pitch. The problem arises if you have a thread that's fixed on to something and you want to find out what bolts you need to buy. For that you need to use the male end of the thread checker. Well, you cannot remove individual pieces from the wire nor can you just screw an individual thread checker in to the thread. You have to rotate the entire wire with all the bits on in order to check if it's the right fitting. The wire is long and heavy. It's very hard to get the thread started when you have to turn the entire thing, and it's easy to crossthread like this.Shame the designer didn't pay much attention to the male thread checkers and make them spinnable. I will have to cut the wire and store the thread checkers loose. I liked the idea of them together, but it's not practical.
