Do you like being strapped to the outside of a Jet Fighter's wing? Is your idea of fun swimming with sharks while simultaneously having juicy steaks strapped to your body? Do you have a deathwish or urge to self destruct via caffeine overload? If so, you might have what it takes to start a cofee kult and be a regular Banned Coffee drinker. BANNED COFFEE - 8 Cups of koffee in one big serving. At the office, we're pros. One large mug of coffee (18 ounces) is the same as drinking 8 cups of normal regular-human coffee. Who has time for 8 cups? Not us! BANNED COFFEE - Not only the strongest coffe in the world, but also the best tasting coffee. That's our opinion. Find out for yourself. Warning: Adding a little French Vanilla or Hazelnut cafe creamer might make a serving of Banned Coffee way too blissful and addictive. BANNED COFFEE - We use re-sealable bags with one way valves to keep your Coffee fresh for as long as you dare to keep it. Banned Coffee is Proudly Roasted in the USA by Artisan Roasters.

Amazing cold-brew, much better than Death Wish
I've tried several different "high caffeine" roasts and I can say this one is my favorite.First the cons:1) There aren't a lot of oils in the beans so a French press brew like I use falls flatter than others if not extracted correctly. It's important to let it "bloom" (coffee snob term) and follow the press directions precisely to ensure a good cup. A customer service rep said that some batches do have more oils then others; I will update when the next order comes in.2) My best cup out of my French Press has been soaking it for at least 5 minutes. Usually this results in a bitter cup, however for this roast it was the perfect amount of time to achieve a good flavor.Pros:1) Caffeine! It has more than Death Wish or Valhalla (not quantitative, just my qualitative taste buds) which is awesome and definitely helps me get up in the morning2) AMAZING cold-brew. I use the Toddy system. My suggestion: Super coarse grind, follow the directions manual (alternating water/coffee pour), soak for exactly 18 hours, drain. When your ready for your drink, use 4 oz. concentrate with 6 oz. milk and 1 oz of vanilla syrup. My roommate who doesn't even enjoy the taste of coffee gulped this down.3) Even though it is not as oily as I would like for this dark roast, it was still much tastier then the Death Wish brand. It is lighter, a little cleaner taste without the burnt aftertaste. All in all, best high-caffeine roast on Amazon, and best all-around cold brew roast.Possible improvements: a lighter roast for the morning. Caffeine is burnt off the more it roasts (unlike the common dark=caffeine myth), this could result in a better tasting cup.

Good flavor
This coffee was good. It was very rich and had a fresh and strong smell to it. Pretty dark roast. It was a bit pricey, but we expected that. Did not seem to have any extra umph to it, but we drink a lot of coffee.

Banned Coffee is the best highly caffinated coffee that you will find on Amazon
Banned Coffee is the best highly caffinated coffee that you will find on Amazon. I’ve been on a hunt for variants of extreme coffee, as I’m a journalist, 11-year military veteran, and current grad school student. I need caffeinated coffee to do what I do every day . . . I have also built up quite the caffeine tolerance over the years.Quite honestly, my hunt began as I, hinged on my free shipping via Prime membership. So I had to search through a variety brands, and many seemed like hipster hype. Even so, I narrowed it down in-between Banned Coffee and Deathwish Coffee on my first buy.On the first order, I purchased Deathwish as they offered two brews – both were miserable and as caffeinated as a cup of Truck Stop Folgers crystals from a Ready Serv . . . Both their Valhalla and Deathwish blends – thanks, but no thanks. For Banned Coffee, I've gone through a two-pound bag of awesome in a few weeks . . . So yes, I’m clearly enjoying it. I, of course, wish it was a bit more powerful. Then again, I’m the guy up orders seven espressos shots in a single Americano when I order coffee on the go. There may never be a caffeinated enough beverage for myself. Yet I’ll continue to reorder these 2lbers on payday . . . Until you make a stronger blend.Other than that, keep up the great work so that we may alert and awake!

Would have loved it, but it comes with a ridiculous WARNING LABEL.
I gave this "Banned Coffee" as a holiday gift to a coffee addict. She was very pleased and it got a good laugh from everyone at the party... till the recipient read the warning label that came with this coffee. At first everyone laughed, but it quickly became clear the warnings were NOT intended to be humorous at all. They were quite sever and took ALL the fun out the moment. As I recall, the sheet that came with the coffee warned about possible health risks from the product's extremely high caffeine count. It then went on to recommend checking with a doctor before consumption to avoid possible health risks... etc., etc.. It was not funny at all and absolutely put a somber mood on gift because it made me look like I might be endangering my friend with this lethal gift. Sheesh!! I guess it's possible to weaponize coffee!! But, frankly, I don't believe ANY coffee requires that kind of warning. If I were the CEO of that company I'd get the marketing director on the phone immediately! They should do away with the document or get the document re-written by someone with a sense of humor!! Anyway, my coffee addict friend wanted to rush into the kitchen to brew some right away (yeah, she's got problems!), but everyone at the party put the kibosh on it and insisted she first research the product before trying it. Yikes!!! So, I didn't get a chance to have any. I assume it's safe, tastes fine and isn't any stronger than Starbucks... but sorry to say I just don't know.

Drink it for the caffeine, not for the flavor.
If you want a cup of coffee with a kick, this is the ticket. If you want a cup of coffee that tastes good, look elsewhere. I don't think I've had any other coffee with as much caffeine as this Banned Coffee. The label doesn't lie. It will really get you going. As far as flavor goes, it's really not very good. That being said, I've bought several bags of it and I keep buying more because of the extra jolt...just plug your nose or something when you drink it...

This coffee is banned from our house
We have been drinking another high caffeine coffee for several years that tastes fantastic and definitely has a high caffeine content. We were very excited to try another brand that advertised high caffeine. We were very disappointed. Not only does it lack flavor but the taste that is there is very bitter. The caffeine level doesn't seem any higher than regular coffee.
