New KS2 English Targeted Question Book: Year 3 Reading Comprehension - Book 1 (with Answers)

Good for practice, not the easiest texts so I will say it addresses the end of yr 3 kids (my opinion, I am not a teacher, just a mum). I will definitely recommend it as I can see improvement even if she still needs help with some of the questions . Thank you.

I bought the book for my son, good quality and quite helpful.

During half terms, this keeps my son busy.

These comprehensions are fine though are slightly too simple at times. With the current curriculum requiring deeper understanding of the text than this book probes I primarily use this book as a catch up or simple independent activity for a child. The reason for this is that most questions are based upon recall rather than inference, author intent or any one of a number of other skills children need to use,This is fine is unison with reading with an adult and discussing the content, but not as well rounded as I may have hoped from such a respected brand.Having said that, for this price I can't complain too much!
