Does a good job keeping my hands from the fire.
I bought this right after getting my new grill. I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to grilling so lighting the grill and being worried about getting burned made things a little harder. With this I can comfortably get the grill started without the fear of getting burned in the process since it gives me a little bit of distance from the fire.

Nice quality
The torch is well made and sturdy. I use it to light my outdoor fireplace and like the fact that I could rotate the torch head by removing two screw. This made it so I could set the torch on the hearth and not have to hold it. The quality and finish of the product are nice.

Easy to light my Big Green with!
Starter was super easy to operate. Attached it to a small canister of propane and it worked perfectly to get my Big Green Egg started. Very happy with the purchase.

Recommend avoiding this piece of junk!
The first issue with this piece of junk was getting it screwed on the propane tank. I tried and tried, to no avail. Finally after almost giving up, it began to screw on. The threads are obviously NOT precision! Then there is the inconsistent lighting. It does not light most of the time. I tried various settings of the gas control knob, it just seems the luck of the draw when lighting this thing. Then the igniter itself is cockeyed and skewed on an angle. I would avoid this torch and avoid the frustration!
