Compact, lightweight travel item
I haven't really tested how leak-proof it is, but otherwise it's a sound travel item, both compact and lightweight enough to stick into a side cargo pants pocket, for example. It's a good size for tea, smoothies, or even to use as a small pasta bowl in a pinch. Or a catch-all container spot in a hotel room---for pens, notes, spare change, receipts, keys, etc. The lid helps keep it clean in storage and on the go. I would buy another---and perhaps will, just to keep handy in the car console.

Disapointing... the design is a sleeve that doesn't fit very well. Returning this.
The beautiful picture is on a sleeve that really doesn't fit very well. We don't feel confident holding the cup with the sleeve on, it feels like it could slip off or you could grip it too tightly and spill. We are returning this; it's just too expensive for its limitations.

Quality collapsible mug
This is a quality collapsible mug. It comes with a good cover and a flexible straw. Although I’m not sure how useful the straw is. I would definitely recommend it if this is what you are in the market for.

Good for frequent travel
I bought this mug over a year ago but just got back to my regular business travel at the beginning of 2022. I do like this mug and it suits my needs. It is durable and stands up to the frequent collapsing and washes up easily. I use it for hot coffee mostly and have not noticed much of an issue with taste after the first couple of uses. The only drawback is that the metal rim does carry heat from the beverage. Using the lid helps, but I do have to either underfill the mug a bit or let it sit for a few minutes.Overall, with 6 months of regular use I am quite happy with the product.

Good Idea, Poor Execution
This tumbler suffers from enough design flaws that would not recommend it for now.I haven't had it long enough to see its ruggedness with repeated collapsing and expanding, but it appears to be tough enough to handle many repeated uses. The issues are these:1) Major design flaw: It's too flimsy despite the thickness. It's very easy to squeeze enough to spill the contents, lid on or not. Handling it as you see in the ads, holding it around the body, makes me think they nothing in the tumbler and were told not to squeeze. This can be overcome by either treating it like one of those paper cones for water or holding the upper stiff rim, which can be problem if the contents are hot. Which leads to the next point...2) Minor design flaw: The sleeve doesn't slide up all the way to the rim, leaving a gap of about a half inch. As mentioned above, if you hold it to be stable, your hand covers that gap which could cause problems with a hot drink, countering the purpose of the sleeve. Oh, and it falls off very easily. This is minor design flaw.3) Major design flaw: The lid stays on well, but the pivoting plug for the drinking hole falls off very easily and is apparently designed to cover and uncover the air hole when it's open/pivoted. The issue is that as you drink, it's very easy to press your nose against that hole, blocking the air flow and then causing problems drinking, which is bad if the beverage is hot. A workaround is to tilt your head back more when drinking, which is also obviously a problem if the beverage hot. This is a major design flaw having the hole in the middle of the lid.4) Not a flaw, just silly. The drinking straw. It reminds me of a piece of rubber hose. It compresses slightly to fit in through the drinking slot like it's afterthought. But if stick to cold drinks and don't fill the tumbler more than halfway (so you don't squeeze and spill), then the straw might useful.Overall, this just becomes a waste of money. I have to stay with cheaper, double-walled, tight-lidded, properly vented, steel tumbler. Sorry, it's a disappointment. We'll keep it for odd times, but only cold drinks.P.S. I ordered a red one, but I got a black one apparently in a box that said it was read. Go figure.

Overall good but a little heavy. Nicely flat compared to others.
Nice to have the metal top ring which makes it more sturdy and flat, but it comes at a price - this thing is fairly heavy. So there goes the travel advantage. The sleeve is nice, allows to stick the cup into to store and it stiffens the opened cup a bit when wrapped around it. Insulating as well.I think all else is typical for a collapsible vessel: a bit wobbly due to the conical shape, cannot be squeezed or the liquid comes out, opening and collapsing can be a bit tricky. The straw is a joke, don't even use it.

Best collapsible cup on the market.
My wife and I needed something to take our coffee on morning hikes that we could collapse after we finished and out in a pocket. Carrying a regular metal mug for 6 miles was not fun.I started looking on Amazon, and saw these. They were more expensive (over double of some), but the more compact design and quality of materials seemed to be worth it. I was right. The cups are amazing. One lid did seem to have a bit of issue staying secure, but it was never an aggravation. Then Hydaway reached out to me, saying they had a bad batch of lids and wanted to check on mine. I told them about the one, so they immediately sent two replacements.I have never seen proactive customer service like that. Not only are the cups premium and worth every penny, but the service by the company is amazing.Don't even look at the cheaper cups. These stay well insulated. They keep my coffee warm in the morning and my beer cold in the evening. The lids make a nice secure seal. Once you collapse them and out them in your pocket, they do not leak. That was a big concern of mine. The neoprene surround is a big plus, and it not only insulates, but also creates a nice pouch to hold the lid on and prevent leaks after use. You can smell a slight silicone smell, and I was concerned it would make the beverage taste bad, but I have never had the taste affected at all.

Not spill proof, but still a good product
Good product, very portable and packable. Sleeve stays on fine, instructions clarify to make sure you push it up to the top fold if loose and it's a perfect fit.Only issue is that it is far from spill/leak proof. If Hydaway are looking for suggestions for a V2, I would advise a threaded lid to be able to screw it on for a bit more spill protection.

Broke after one use
The rubber cup tore after one use rendering it useless so it was returned. It’s flimsy, hard to hold and the sleeve is I’ll fitting. There are better cheaper products available.
