Super lightened the dull gray out of my whitish grey hair and my hair felt conditioned afterward. No ghastly smell. Did leave my hair a bit too much of a non-natural white blondish bleached — look too intense for my age (75) so I used a silver gloss toner a couple weeks later and now it suits me better. My natural hair was a very light Swedish blond which later became a darker Swedish blond with ash tones. This product might bring out brassiness in those with natural darker hair with any reddish in it. Its a good product.

I have colored and also highlighted my hair for years.Typically I use Naturcolor, in a deep chestnut, and use a highlighter to get some caramel highlights.This worked FINE on my hair. I did a practice section to see if I had to leave it on longer or shorter due to having previously colored hair.With any product, one would avoid lightening over and over on the same strands, so that is not something unique to this product.

I have ordered this product at least a dozen times. Usually my boyfriend orders it for me through his prime account! I have actually been using this product for a few years while they used to sell it at Sprouts. This last batch was different. 😭I used it because it was good for my hair and now my hair is ruined after this last use! It is brittle and falling out and they did not put enough shampoo and conditioner into the package! I’m so sad and don’t know what to do because my hair was already thin as it is! This is such a disappointment! Why, do companies have to change their products when they have a good thing going. I don’t understand! Unfortunately, I am so sad to say that I will never 👎 purchase product again! 😞

I dyed my virgin #7 hair with 2 boxes of this hair color and it came out great. If you’re on the fence just do it. Processing time is quick and texture after color is still soft, not all bleached out. I had my hairstylist foil it. Very excited that it’s ammonia free.

This highlight kit never disappoints! Works every time and saves lots of money from going to hair salon. Love it! Just fyi make sure you watch how long you leave it on as it works fast. Highly recommend!

I have hair close to my belly button and i didn't get half of my hair colored with just one box. Luckily I started at underneath and can hide the disaster and is a look that seems to be commoin so hopefully no one will notice until I can die it back. If you have long hair, get two maybe three boxes and you have to use it quickly or your hair wont turn evenly.

I've tried several ammonia-free hair lighteners and this one works the best. It says you can go up to 45 minutes, and I usually do 30 with other kits, but in only 20 my dark brown roots were light blond and ready for the purple dye! The shampoo that came with the kit was really nice too -- super thick, luxurious foam.
