I purchased a Moccamaster brewer with a thermal carafe about a year ago. Paired with this lid, it does not require a heating element to keep coffee piping hot and fresh for hours. In fact, I find that the coffee stays fresher much longer than my previous drip brewer which used a heating element... and no more burnt/stale coffee, even after sitting for 3-4 hours.I recently misplaced this screw on lid and panicked - thankfully this replacement was readily available. I noticed some reviews commented on this being cheap or difficult to screw on as compared to the original. Having received this item 24 hrs after loosing the original I wasn't able to do a side-by-side comparison, however, besides being new and shiny, I find this to be identical to the cap that came with the unit. I will say that there's a bit of technique to get it to thread correctly, but again, this is no different than the original, and not difficult... I just put the lid in place and rotate counter-clockwise until I feel it line up, then rotate clockwise to tighten. I've attached a video for reference.Overall, this is a must have accessory for the Technivorm Moccamaster thermal carafe, in my opinion. This replacement part was readily available, shipped & arrived quickly, and is identical to the original lid that came with the brewer. I'm ordering another to keep as a spare. 👍👍

Very thin plastic. It looks and feels like it would easily crack. As such it does not keep my coffee any warmer than the flow thru lid. I had the original stopper lid, and it had a much more substantial feel, and kept my coffee hot for several hours. Now, after an hour, the coffee is warm, and needs to be microwaved if I want it to be hot. If you need a new lid, the flow thru version may be all you need. Just don't expect your coffee to be hot after about an hour.

I happily turned on my disposal and wow what a noise. I turned it off and oops..there was my mangled top to my carafe . I went to my go to....amazon, found the part and within a week I was back in business . It was exactly as ordered and delivered in a very timely manner...

Yes it works on the carafe on my CDGT, but it’s super finicky. Sometimes it takes forever to line up the threads. And even then if feels really loose. But, if you need a cheap replacement it functions ok.
