I’ve had aquariums on my life. I thought the snail traps would work. These are garbage they fall apart. They break once they get in the water. It gets cold warm. You can’t keep them together garbage you got one star just to go through.

These work extremely well. The picture shows the mix I use in the center. I place a screw on top of the food so the trap stays down. Overnight 20 small and medium snails are in the trap for disposal.

There are ALOT of negative Nancy comments on here so I’ll set it straight ,( these do not come with the bait but I used cat food and that seemed to work) within minutes the snails were filling the trap plus it came with a suction cup to keep it from floating , I’ll definitely buy these again to maintain my tanks !!!

Yes this will attract snails. I put green beans in it and they went right to it. But it is not a trap. They will leave when the food runs out. There is nothing keeping them there. So have to watch it and when snails are on it you can pull it out and dispose of the snails, but they can fall of or leave it if they want. So yes it can work, but it is not a trap and you have to remove it before the snails leave it.

It's a cool design, but the 3 species of snail that I keep had absolutely no interest in it. I was baiting it with their favorite food, so there must be a flow problem or something that they can't smell it. Food spoils before any snails get close, and they don't want rotten food.

I've used this for Malaysian snails and it seems to work when attached to a rock. The biggest issue is that it has 0 weight. So once in the tank it easily will float instead of sinking to the bottom. This really should be an easy fix as attaching a heavy resin to the base. If it wasn't for this flaw this product would be a homerun.

1. They don’t send you the bait2. Once you figure out what bait to use, you still may not catch a snail.3. They should call this the snail Lure. If a snail shows up and you don’t pull the thing up and get it out immediately, it will just leave. There is no “trap”So you have to sit and stare at it until a snail stops by for a bite.Save your money. Toss a chunk of cucumber in there and pull it up when it gets snail attention.

We picked up some trash snails and they just kept reproducing I looked on line for a solution. They suggested snail traps. I had never heard of them.I ordered these and have removed hundreds of snails. Snail removal is a snap.Love this product.
