Conversational Russian Dialogues: Over 100 Russian Conversations and Short Stories

As a teacher of Russian I would not recommend this book. I bought it to use as an extra learning material for my students to find out it's full of phrases Russians don't use day to day and seems as if it's translated from English but not very well. Couldn't find the author of the book so I suspect it's a compilation? Not happy with the price for the quality. Avoid.

I really like this book as it provides 105 real life conversations you may need to use from going out or just talking with friends. This is excellent for learning vocabulary in context- which is key for making vocabulary really stick in your mind. It contains conversations for beginners(A1) all the way to more advanced learners(B1) so this book really has something for everybody no matter what level your Russian is at. I also appreciate how the conversations are marked as A1, A2 etc. so you know what level the conversation is. This book could also be used in practicing with a native speaker as there are always two people in the conversations. You could have them read one part and you read the other. This will greatly boost reading, speaking and listening skills all at once. I would recommend use if this book with the book 2000 most common Russian words in context also by LingoMastery. These two books are sure to boost your confidence in Russian in no time!

this is one of the worst books I have ever seen. It is meant to help develop conversations in Russian and English but it has made absolutely no effort to explain how to pronounce the Russian words so it is impossible to learn how to speak those words. It is absurd

If you break down line by line and understand each word and try to spend time to memorise it, from a beginners pov, then this book can last forever and give you endless ways to learn. The stories are simple, effective and in a conversational manner which can help form your own sentences eventually. I love it and I'm much enjoying the process even if I'm learning 1 or 2 words only each day.

I've tried many approaches to learning russian but this book is absolutely unmatched. The speed of learning, it's simplicity and practicality, is just unrivalled. Well done to the authors to whom i suggest a sequel or further levels to help further development.
