Built like a tank!
Have three now and will surely buy more to replace the all plastic ones around the house. Best features are the all metal casing and the two lights that tell you when the strip is switched on and if the protection is working. You don't have to worry about stepping on these and breaking them like the all plastic ones. Two of my units are extension plugs for wall sockets that are now blocked by huge heavy bookcases. The third offers extra sockets for a battery power back-up for my computers.

Sturdy power strip that can handle high power draw
Our previous power strip could not handle an 1875W hair dryer. It kept tripping when on high setting. This one handles it like a champ and has more sockets too. Very robust so it doesn't matter if someone accidentally steps on it or bumps into it. Would purchase again.

I trust Tripplite- but not happy it’s part plastic
Bought this for the metal enclosure. Which it is - 3/4 of it. The bottom is plastic. The whole point is to get away from anything that would melt. So not happy about that.Otherwise I trust Tripplite and use them in my house and for projects every time since realizing the burn/fire hazard cheap extension outlets can be.I don’t anticipate a problem. But know this one has a plastic bottom.

Solid, good surge protector.
Works well and is very solid. I have one that is very old and has been very reliable, so, I have two more of these now.

Excellent value and build quality
Very good build quality, feels really solid. I mounted mine on the wall in my workshop above my bench and plug power tools into it. Works great and the mounting holes were heavy duty.

PLASTIC case, Quality switch and cord.
Lightning surge protection? Who really knows. It's a gamble. You must register your power strip with the company to get the equipment protection warranty. I've used Trip-Lite ISO-BAR products for years with no issues. Worth the money for the protection, IMO. UPDATE 1-28-23: Took off 2 stars. The very bottom of the case is metal but the top part is plastic. The adver says "metal" Sneaky! Amazon said they will issue me a refund upon return. They always do the right thing. Gotta love Amazon!
