This is wonderful and easy to use! I got this kettle because I kept eating water in microwave for instant Vietnamese coffees. One day my cup exploded. I found out that was not a good idea. So I got a kettle. Most of the time I have decaf. And I brew it because decaf must be brewed to taste good. But I promote myself to have delicious instant Vietnamese coffee a couple times a week. One of these times I'm racing to church choir practice and I don't have time. Right before I go to run to my car, I hit the little lever. In about 2 minutes there is boiling water. I take the kettle and I put it coffee to go cub where I have my instant Vietnamese coffee along with some other things (some healthy prymal, a little zero sugar mocha flavor, some pumpkin spice mix) use my frother and I mix it up. Add oatmeal afterwards. Put my sleeve on my cup and then run to my car. Drive over to church. This thing has saved me a lot of time and is better than doing it in the microwave and wondering if the cup's going to explode. Also, it's so easy since you just take the kettle off. Then just like that, you don't really have to worry about the heat. I just put the kettle in the sink when I'm done pouring. But I could probably leave it anywhere. I have to say it doesn't melt underneath the kettle.I just went for the least expensive kettle. And I'm a fan of Amazon products. So I bought this one. I highly recommend this kettle. It's been a lifesaver and it saves me a lot of time.

Great way to get hot water quickly and much hotter than a hot water tap. 1L (just over 4 cups/2 pints) in 4 minutes with auto shut-off at a ROARING boil! Forget waiting at the stove or setting a timer lest you forget and boil a pan dry (yeah, I've done that). If you like Starbucks Via as a the fastest coffee fix when you wake up, this is for you. Quick, easy, no grounds to clean up. Added benefit: also works to get a bit of hot water for hand cleaning some dishes rather than either waiting on the kitchen facet to heat up (mine takes way too long) or running a small dish washer load and burning a pod and a lot more water.

Love this kettle. I got the biggest size. My mom and sister have one and I finally got tired of my stove top kettle enough to try one out....AND it is as awesome as they said it was! Much quicker to heat and much easier to clean because of the clear glass. I can actually see that it is clean on the inside where my stove top kettle I could not! It turns off by itself which I love more that I thought I would, it's very convenient! Looks nice and takes up less room than my stove top kettle as well!

Bought this to replace a Vosen electric kettle, also purchased on Amazon, that died after five years. I chose this one mainly because it was so inexpensive, and when it arrived I was not impressed. It was much lighter and seemed more cheaply made than the Vosen, which was double-walled stainless steel and plastic with a more substantial handle and base. But I've come to like this kettle so much more than the Vosen because of how it pours. It never, ever drips or dribbles or leaks from the spout, which the Vosen did almost every time I used it. This kettle pours effortlessly and neatly no matter how rapidly I pour or how powerful the flow from the spout. I hadn't realized how onerous pouring from the dripping, leaky, messy Vosen kettle had become until I got this one and experienced a perfect pour with each and every use. I've had it for several months now and I still marvel every time I use it. Yes, it's still a bit dinky looking and cheap feeling compared to other kettles I've had, but it performs like a champ, which has given me every reason to be satisfied with its purchase.

I am impressed at how quickly this water kettle heats to a boil. If you put too much liquid in it, it can boil over before auto shutdown.I am concerned that the glass may shatter, but so far, it's holding up well.I use it with hard water, so I get a mineral fog on the inside surfaces. The opening is not big enough to fit my hand, so I must use a tool to clean the glass and bottom surface.

This kettle works very well and is reasonable priced. I opted for the 1.0 liter size which is perfect for me, as I usually don't require more than 2 cups of boiling water at a time. It boiled 2 cups in just about 3 min. but at full capacity it would hold just over 4 cups. It's much faster than using a pot on a stovetop and definitely more convenient (and faster) than boiling water in the microwave oven. For anything larger than 4 cups (ex., 6 cups needed to cook pasta), it's easy to empty and quickly boil another 2 cups to add to the pot. The top opens wide enough to fill in my refrigerator door dispenser and the handle doesn't heat up so it's very easy to dispense. I opted for the glass pitcher as I like to see the water inside. There are times for certain teas when I might want to stop it early so glass is much more convenient for me vs. stainless steel. The pitcher automatically turns off when done boiling and also there is a very visible blue light that stays on only while heating. Another safety feature is the auto-off when empty. Within seconds of turning the pitcher on with no water inside, it automatically shut off. For those not familiar with electric kettles, even immediately after heating water to boiling temperature, the base isn't hot (or even warm). So there's no danger when using the pitcher of you, or a child, accidentally getting burned by touching the base. So far this has been a great purchase for a great price!
