Bolts don't fit
The product is great with the exception the bolts don't fit. I had to go to 4 different places to find bolts that fit. I am still looking. They need to be a very fine thread. I have been to 2 hardware stores and I even went to Lowes and Home depot with no luck. I didn't return them yet because I am holding out hope that someone will sell the bolts I need. Possible will need to return them.

Marine cabinet latch
Very nice finish and all 316 stainless,useful on my boat for battery compartment. I am able to prop the cover open slightly when charging for more ventilation,the red dot is a nice touch to indicate secured cover position.

A little smaller than the plastic latch it replaced
Easy to install and works well. Slightly smaller that the original plastic latch it replaced.

Compresses when latch is open
Used this to replace a broken plastic thumb latch for a T-top e-box door since they no longer make the plastic one to fit. Ended up drilling my old latch out with a 2” hole saw…new latch appears to be well made stainless, but…the spring only compresses when the latch handle is open. It should compress when the latch handle is closed. Now I have to drive the boat around with the latch handle flipped up like in the picture. It appears all the others on Amazon have the same issue if you read the reviews/questions.
