Works as intended but 1 / 2 didn't work properly.
If you want a USB-C -> 3.5mm (analog) output for your Android phone that doesn't have a built-in DAC chip, this is the dongle to get. ie. most Snapdragon 8 / Elite phones have HiRes DACs in them, but no headphone jack (aside from Sony), so this is a good way to utilize the internal DAC.My only call-out is that I bought two of them and one of them didn't work properly (only right channel worked). Thankfully the 2nd one worked fine.

Just the thing for cell phones & tablets without earchone jacks.
The newest cell phones & tablets are omitting the earphone jacks. You either need to use Bluetooth or this adapter.

Just what I needed.
Adaptor works perfectly and is well made. This is just what I needed.I have an Samsung Galaxy S5e tablet that lacks a 3.5mm audio out so requires a USBC to 3.5mm adaptor to connect wired headphones/earbuds.It has a passive audio output on the USBC connector meaning it has an internal DAC so doesn't require a DAC in the USBC adaptor. Although adaptors with a built in DAC work, they draw considerable power. With this passive adaptor I'm able to turn off the screen at night and listen to YouTube or music and still have ample battery left in the morning - enough to get 3-4 nights of listening without recharging. The active USBC adaptors with DAC would require recharging every day. Bluetooth headphones also didn't last given their tiny internal batteries.
