Easy replacement
I just needed the top portion of this, and it worked perfect. The length of the tube is a tad long, but can be cut down easily. Just line it up next to the old one and it'll be a perfect fit.

Solved My Problem!!
My water softener wasn’t working as it should, and on inspection I noticed my brine tank safety float was broken. This wasn’t an exact replacement, so I had to cut it down to size. My water softener is actually working better now than it had before with my other brine tank safety float!! This is a great float and I highly recommend. Saved me a lot of money because I didn’t have to buy a new water softener!

Metal fasteners not Stainless Steel (Rusting)
Worked as replacement for General Ionics brine tank. Had to drill new holes as the positions were slightly different. Works as expected however shortly after installation the stud and nut supporting the assembly in the float tube have rusted badly. This is a brine tank, steel hardware needs to be high quality Stainless Steel or it is going to rust. Poor design.
