Exactly what I needed
Recently bought a nintendo 64 and had to buy this adaptor to connect it to my TV. Considering this cable was only a couple bucks, it was completely worth it. Pretty straight forward to connect.

Don’t do it!
Does not work between a simple DVD player and Samsung TV. TV does not even recognize the HDMI cord is plugged in.

Incorrect part
I ordered this part to hook up my DVD player to the TV but it did not work. It's my ignorance because I didn't know exactly what I needed. So I just went and switched my TV and bought a different one now it will work.

May not be the cable's fault. My TV could not read it.
My Samsung TV could not read the HDMI to RCA Cable. No matter what I did it kept showing an error message of no connection. I followed all of the directions and even tried to find a solution on the internet. I have a Comcast DVR box and was able to use the HDMI cable that came with the DVD Blu-ray player. The Comcast DVR box requires the HDMI2 connection to record my shows so if I need to use the DVD Blu-ray player I just have to disconnect the cable box from the HDMI2 and plug the DVD Blu-ray player into it then reconnect the cable box to HDMI2 when I am finished.

Fraudulent design. Not possible for it to work.
This cable was designed from the ground up to just soak people for money with zero chance of working. I was hoping it might have some small cheap converter board inside the rubber molding on the HDMI plug, but when I got it and it didn't work I pulled the overmolding off and found the wires from the RCA jacks soldered direectly to the HDMI plug. For those who don't know about electronics, HDMI plugs have no way of making the sort of signals composite video inputs need.It is literally not possible that this cable could have been designed to work in any way for what it's sold as. There's no way that any person who's received this cable has ever had it work in any way, and any review that says it did anything is either an astroturfed reviewer, or (less likely) received something completely different in design. Do Not Buy This.
