Manage your expectations
I'm reasonably pleased, but that's because I wasn't expecting much at this price point. I was primarily looking for items to keep in my car, and the kit was discounted to $40 when I purchased it.The bag I received is perfectly fine with no obvious flaws. It has plenty of space to add items, which is good. It will also attach nicely to the larger bag I keep in my car. I'll be able to assemble and stash a good car kit in it.The shovel is small, but I think it would be fine for digging a bit of snow or gravel out of the way. Or, if you're thinking in terms of prepping, a small pit for a fire or to bury waste. It would be tiresome to use for more than that. The hammer and axe multitool is cool, reasonably heavy, and I can definitely see it being a handy adjunct to a tire iron or a tire plug kit. The blade is not sharp out of the box.Adolescent me would have happily used this as the primary implement to build a lean to for funzies. It would work for the purpose, but it wouldn't be efficient. However, it's not half bad for a back up tool.Folding knife. Not sharp, but it's a multi-purpose size once I get an edge on it. Again as a back up, no complaints. The spork makes me grin. Ironically, its knife is reasonably sharp. I'll put it with my lunch stuff. :)Most of the other items are pretty run of the mill. Unless you already fish, a fishing kit isn't going to help you much in the eschaton. Practice with the ferro rod, etc. The compass on the paracord bracelet does appear to be reasonably accurate which is more than many button compasses can say.The first aid supplies are the big let down here. Cheap, useless scissors and tweezers. The other supplies could be added to a separate first aid kit, but on its own this kit is more of a "better than nothing" situation. All in all, if the major components are items you want back ups for, this isn't a bad set, but if you're looking for survival items you don't want this as your primary or only kit.

This "Survival and First Aid Kit" is a FIVE STAR product!
This 142 piece Survival Kit and First Aid Kit is a GOTO product in an emergency. This may not be what I had while in the US Army during the Vietnam War. This small container of survival gear provides much that you would require in an emergency! It gets better with use! Yes, the knife needs to be sharpened. I have never found a knife that does not need to be sharpened with use. The 600D Nylon Bag (Container for the “Emergency / First Aid Kit) with Molle Straps, 3-Mode Flashlight (Bright, Dim, Flashing, Color Black, Serrated Lens Top, Three Inches Long, One Inch Diameter), Adhesive Bandage, Alcohol Pad, Bandage Triangle Bandage (“Cravat”) With Safety Pins, Cotton Swabs, Elastic Bandage (Pbt Bandage), Knuckle Bandage (“H” Shaped), Emergency Blanket (“Silver” reflecting), Emergency Rope, Scissor, Tourniquet, Tweezer, Fishing Tools, Carabiner (“D” Ring), Dual-Tube Whistle, Hatchet, Multi-functional Card, Survival Bracelet (Made from Parachute Cord with clips on each end), Wire Saw, Fire Starting Tools, Light Stick, Wire Saw, Emergency Rope (Short). There are additional items that would be useful.I recommend these additional items: Signal Mirror or Mirrors, an Excellent Compass and using it before, additional batteries, an additional First-Aid Kit, Military Style Tourniquets, rope, flashlights, water-proof matches, warm clothing, water purification tablets, books on survival in the wild, compression bandages, reflective blankets, chocolate that does not melt (the letter after “p” in the alphabet “?&?’s’”. Do a web search with the search argument of “surviving in the wild” and note the recommendations. Use many different web sites.Jesus The Messiah Bless You All!

Items Missing, Check Your Contents
Ordered on sale and replaced multiple times as various items were missing each time. Ended up keeping the final one as the fishing items are useless to me as an avid tournament angler. But beware if you plan on actually plan on ever being in a situation you may need the items in this product check the contents prior. I have multiple quality first aid and survival kits already this was just a backup to have extra. So at over 50% off I'll keep what I got and call it a win. Good luck.
