Do not install these and then turn on inside!
Swapped out all of the filters at once for brand new ones. Ran it outside for 15 minutes to start with to let it all air out.Turns out that with the GC unit, it just filters through the HEPA filter first and then through these filters then outputs right after that. Even with the tube shaped filters over these units, it still gave off a distinct carbon odor 30 minutes (Update: now 2 days) after running at speed 6. That should not happen. These are made in China anyway but the seller has no idea how or why it would do this. One customer review here said after 7 days it still did this for them and left a review speaking about it as well. The point of a house filter is to filter the intake air and output cleaner air. Not be outputting activated carbon air directly. Why there is nothing that filters this is in part a design flaw but also the filters themselves should not still be doing that 30 minutes (edit: now 2 days) after running on speed 6 either.A few minutes at most after traveling across the sea and being bumped around a lot maybe but the point of these is to output fresh air. Maybe the official OEM ones will do so instead? Or maybe a different brand? No idea but this isn't exactly what was expected here.Spoke with the seller, they basically said return it and there might be a 15% fee. Amazon seems to disagree with that. To give the sellers SOME credit, when we reached out to IQAir, they basically said you can just install and use. Then when we scratched our heads and asked why it still smells, they said oh, run for at least 24 hours. We asked how long we needed to run it for and they did not have an answer. In short, the GC model seems like a very poorly designed product when there are basically no HEPA filters after the carbon dust generating filters! That all said, this product still smells terrible even after running it for 2 days at max speed.

Affordable option without losing functionality
these charcoal cartridges are a perfectly affordable alternative to the IQAIR name-brand units. They fit perfectly and weigh the same meaning they have the same quantity of charcoal.

Work like the original
The fit is good and works great. At first start, there is a chemical smell but it eventually went away. I am glad there is a generic. Original part is pricy for the GC series.

I don't know about these..
Just a word of caution. They don't fit older Multigas systems that use the old "keyhold" attachment method. You'll need adapter plates from IQAir.These make my air smell like burning marshmallows. It's not the unit itself burning. I've tested with and without the filters and it's definitely the filters themselves and not the unit. I checked to see if it was overheating with the filters in place and it wasn't. They also don't seem to remove the smell of smoke in the air. They just add to it. I ran them for about a week on high and the smell never got any better so I returned them.

No Sleeves, Smell Bad.
These do not come with outer sleeves so you have to buy those separately. The filters themselves have a funky smell out of the packaging. I am hoping that will dissipate after some use, but it's not promising initially.

Filter replacement for my IQ Air
Buyer beware...I installed these filters in my unit and it put stinky air in my house...I don't know what could be in these filters thats supposed to remove gassing out that would actually be putting gassing out into my home...I ran it for 7 miserable days with no improvement...contacted customer service and she explained that it just needs to run a couple days to get the smell out...so they are knowingly selling a product that produces stinky elements into your home...they were kind enough to give me a refund...I installed cartridges I ordered direct from IQAir and my home now smells sweet and fresh again.

Do not Buy. Buy original only for extra $100
The pre filters and sleeves for gas cartridges are okay as replacements but the gas cartridges themselves seems used. Very strong chemical smell that will make you sick and become unbearable. This has never happened buying IQ brand replacements.
