HP EliteBook Folio 9470M 14" Intel Core i5-3437U 1.9GHz 16GB 320G SATA Windows 10 Professional (Renewed)

I had an issue where my regular laptop was destroyed. I was short on money but absolutely had to replace my laptop for business needs before I would be getting paid again. I chose the HP Elitebook Folio 9470 because it was available as a refurb and was available with 16GB RAM.It arrived in excellent packaging, was very clean, and had manuals and startup instructions included. I didn't need these things, but it was a magnificent sight to see them included as a refurb, it also had a paper listing the shipper's email and contact info in case there is a need to reach them for support needs.The Elitebook has fingerprint readers, Bluetooth, screencasting, and several other options I didn't have on my previous laptop. The screen is smaller than on my previous laptop but the quality is just as good.The value for the money I spent was extremely excellent. VERY GOOD BUY!!!Battery life is quite good - 4 out of 5 stars though as the screen brightness and performance settings affect the battery life a great deal, but with a brand new battery, it would definitely have a 5 Star battery life.Definitely a great purchase. I bought the HP Elitebook Folio 9470m as a temporary replacement in November 2018 and I am still using it as my primary laptop. Kudos to the seller. Super Buy

Highly recommend it to anyone! I use it for all of my home and professional errands, which include some heavy programming, and it runs very smoothly through all of this. The battery life is a bit short, though, only lasting for about 2 hours on a full charge, so definitely be sure to bring your charger with you if you expect to be in one location for long. Regardless, great product that comes with a lot of features (including some free gaming apps if you're into those), so I definitely recommend!

I bought this in Sept 2018. It was pretty good at first, but after a couple of months (outside the return period- of course) the touch pad starts acting strange. It won't do anything until you tap a couple of times, as if you have to wake it up. Other times it will double click with the slightest (single) tap. It's irritating and sometimes creates extra work to undo the double taps.Pluses: It's light, works well, I have 16GB RAM, so it's quick, but that's diminished over time. The battery is only about 2.5 - 3 hrs.Update 7/28/19 - I'm now having problems on boot-up. About 1-2 times a week I turn the computer n, and half way through the bootup the computer just turns off. I have to start it again, then it boots up/runs as normal. This kind of problem WILL get worse...Update 9/16/19 - Several times now the keyboard will light up on boot-up and the fan comes on full blast and won't stop. The screen stays black. Nothing happens. This is first thing in the morning, after this thing has been off all night. There's no way to turn it off, even when holding the power button down for a minute. the power has to be disconnected and then the battery has to be removed.

Decent computer, but gets hot very quickly

I had a Gateway NV series laptop for years that finally gave up the ghost. I looked at a lot of notebooks then finally made the decision to buy this one, mostly for the features, I'm very happy I did. It arrived the same day I ordered it, the condition was great, functionality is great, features are great so for me it was a great choice. I've had it for almost a week and it has been a pleasure to use so I'm extremely satisfied. The Hard-drive was even bigger then what was advertised (not complaining) great job guys.

Ok. After 6 months of really heavy use (I guess I have turned it off a couple of times), I felt compelled to share my very positive experience with this one: this laptop really delivers. Heavy heavy grind, lots of Excel, Power BI, Power Point and internet usage, it's been delivering since day one; I highly recommend it. Why not 5 stars? Well, it does gets hot a lot! I tend to "overuse" my computers, and this one is no exception, but this one gets particularly hot, specially when I just close it down (no Hibernation Mode or turning it off), it heats up tremendously, to the point that it is uncomfortable to handle, until I put it down, and plug it the the energy cord. All together, a great value for my money, since this is a business laptop that doesn't require state of the art components that bring nothing to our business, but solid performance, which is what we get. Recommended.

Preforms well, very quick booting up, has a few scuffs as expected, Lacks an HDMI port, but all in all great laptop for the price

Outstanding 16GB RAM!!! Business class (drop protection)! Similar weight to a Macbook air, I replaced the Hard Drive with an 1TB SSD this thing is extremely nimble! You won't find a better deal for weight, size, quality, RAM and speed at this price point.Of course it could have an I7 and discreet video... But seriously for $280... This is a "No Brainer!"It's construction feels more solid than my $3000 MSI Laptop.Only criticism, if I had to say anything negative the screen isn't backlit, and doesn't look as good as a Apple screen.... Boooo effing hooo! It's a great Laptop!
