I needed a hole punch because I lost some weight and simply needed a couple new holes in a couple of leather belts. As I looked around on Amazon for a tool to do this tedious, uninspiring job, I learned that the world of leather hole punches is dizzyingly wide. From the reviews, it seems easy to go catastrophically wrong and buy something that not only lacks durability but isn't sharp in the first place. Well, friends, I am happy to give the leather hole punch you're looking at right now a five star rating. This thing was reasonably priced, durable, and does a fantastic job punching clean holes in thick leather. These belts of mine are 1.5" wide and I had no problem centering the hole – easy breezy. Yes, it's nothing more than a tool for punching holes in leather, but I'm just a guy who needed a boring, reliable tool to punch the occasional hole in leather and that's what I got with this. Now, the tools in my miscellaneous, "occasional use" tool drawer have a welcome new "forever" friend, my friends can ask to borrow it when they need a hole punched in leather and are daunted by Amazon's selection, and I think we're all the happier for it.

Quick and thorough. Very professional tool with useful accessories. Instruction pamphlet included.Inclusion of an extra press plate a nice touch. The rotating wheel can be difficult to turn but loosening the wheel screw helps quite a bit. The awl is rather soft (bent it a little when trying to turn the rotating wheel before loosening screw) and the screwdriver is too small for my hand. Hard to get a full grip. Not a big deal since I have other Philips screwdrivers. These are not complaints just statements about minor issues which were not worth removing a star.Cutting a hole in a leather belt was clean and easy. Appreciated having the ruler. Had never thought of using one before. Eyeballing the distance between holes has not always worked well.Tool is solid and did not move as it was used. Stabilizer works well and overall design of the tool suits its purpose quite well. I like the fact that the handle can be secured down for easier storage. Would have no qualms purchasing again if needed or as a gift.

I did have some problems with it at first trying to get the wheel to turn to change the hole size even after trying to use a screwdriver instead. Eventually I was finally able to get it to turn one day. The good thing tho is that it’s plenty sharp and does serve its purpose well and I really needed this since I’ve been losing weight and needed smaller belts (don’t have to buy any new ones yet tho thanks to this!)

Very easy to use. I make purses/bags and use a lot of rivets. I purchased the Pro-Master Smart & Simple leather hole punch. It will go through anything!! Easy on the hands also as the handle is cushioned. Highly recommend this item.
