Can't read encrypted hard drive
None of my 3.5" 10TB disks would work. Found the INDMEM website for the enclosure and it clearly says on there it "Can't read encrypted hard drive". They even made it bold. The should be listed here. Of course all of my 3.5" disks are encrypted. I did test with an older 2.5" disk and that would work, but not feel my need for this enclosure.

Does not support SAS drives
Absolutely does not support SAS drives. I attempted to use different sized, different capacity, different manufacturers drives and no SAS drives worked. I was able to get several SATA drives to work.

very dissapointed with the docking station
I'm in the process of decommissioning an old server and wanted to wipe the drives. ordered this and so far 5/5 drives have shown as no media, at least one of those is known good.

much faster than SATA but also compatible with SATA 2.0 or higher disks
I have recently built 2 web servers at home and I'm using SAS hard disk for the performance and speed I need. I have a need to swap out or add additional SAS hard disk time to time for backup and for maintenance so I bought this docking station that can be connected using USB3.0 cable. It can read and write SAD hard disk using this docking station with USB cable but it's also compatible with SATA hard disk v2.0 or higher, which is great. Please note that SATA docking station cannot read SAD hard disk so if you are using both SAS and SATA hard disks like me then this is the way to go and that's why SAS is always more expensive than SATA. Very impressed with the performance.
