Does everything we hoped it would do, sometimes even better. We love it!
I had reservations about buying this unit because of the venomous 1-star reviews. After using this unit for a few weeks I have to assume that there were either a large number of defective products sent out (quite unusual for Cuisinart), or that some people have unrealistic expectations of a toaster oven/air fryer.Disclaimer: I've always had toaster ovens as a kitchen accessory and have had to learn each one of their quirks. This one has fewer than many I've owned. That said, it cooks fast. Very fast. Where with my previous one you had to bump the temp about 25 degrees more than you thought needed and could walk away from it, this one cooks in much less than the time expected and you need to watch it carefully. That should change as we learn how it performs. It seems best to fade back a bit from the recommended times and temps in their manual and recipe book. This thing is powerful. My favorite dish so far is chicken wing drumettes. I've always cooked my famous buffalo wings in a peanut oil deep-fryer, then dip them in sauce and dry them for a bit in the oven. Set this at 400 on air-fry, cook for 10 minutes, flip them over and cook for 10 more and they honestly look like I just pulled them out of my fryer. My wife swears they are even better. Traitor!Garlic toast and English muffins seem to crisp up faster and retain inside moistness better than any toaster oven I've ever used. Frozen french fries and shrimp are a breeze. Tonight she did some fresh zucchini wedges that I was sure were going to be boring and they turned out awesome.Long story short, we love it so far and look forward to experimenting with it for years to come. We've had great luck with Cuisinart appliances over the years and in the few times we had problems with them, their customer service people have bent over backwards to help us and always treated us fairly.Love it and if it blew up tomorrow, I'd buy it again.

I've had it for a couple years now and I love it!
First of all, it is largish for a toaster oven, but I have a short piece of countertop between the stove and the pantry closet that was basically wasted space, and it fits perfectly there. Measure and make sure you have the room for it. It has to be away from the wall as the fan is in the back and it needs the space. I use it almost every day and love it. I use the air bake and air fry functions mostly, and they both work well. The temperature dial is not accurate so figure out how it heats and adjust accordingly; I find mine to be about 30 degrees hotter than the dial says. I have baked bars and desserts in the oven and had them turn out fine as long as I keep an eye on them and rotate as needed. I bake potatoes and small hotdishes that turn out well. I don't use it for regular toast a lot but I like the ease of making garlic toast, both frozen and homemade. It is very good at heating up leftover pizza and french fries, much more appealing than the microwave. Overall, a very good choice.

MOST RELIABLE AND WELL ENGINEERED PRODUCT I HAVE USED IN YEARS-THANK YOU CUISINART
AFTER 2 1/2 YEARS MY CUISINART STOPPED TOASTING BECAUSE OF TOP BURNER ELEMENT. UNLIKE MOST COMPANIES TODAY CUISINART STOOD BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT AND REPLACED NOT ONLY THE SAME MODEL BUT AN IMPROVED VERSION. THEIR 3 YEAR WARRANTY IS ALMOST UNHEARD OF IN TODAY'S MARKET. I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO TELL YOU HOW PLEASED I AM WITH THIS PRODUCT AND I SUGGEST EVERYONE LOOK AT THEIR PANS AS WELL. THEY ARE ALL AMAZING. ALSO, DURING THE REPLACEMENT I WAS NOT FORCED TO RETURN PRODUCT, MERELY TAKE A PICTURE AND SEND IT TO THEM WITH THEIR TROUBLE SHOOTING NUMBER. UNBELIEVABLE!

Toasting is fast, air fryer works well, not too hot on outside, fan reasonably quiet
Overall nice quality, easy/simple to use, timer works well.I own a dedicated air fryer, but then our trusty B&D under the cabinet toaster oven died (after 18 years....). I liked our air fryer so much, but when I saw there were combo toaster/air fryers being made, I like they idea of having the all in one option.I tried a few other toaster ovens (both regular convection and another air fryer combo) and they all got blistering hot on the sides and top and it didn't take long. The backs of these other models (some relatively expensive/higher tech models too) were so hot that I thought the power cord would melt. I was shocked that they cant put a little more thermal insulation in these things. So I was disappointed and almost gave up, but then saw this model. Before I cooked anything in it, I ran it in air fry mode at the highest setting and let is run for 20 minutes. I was pleased that overall, the outside remained just warm, and even cool over the majority of the surface. There were a couple of small hot spots (ouchy hot) on the sides near the bottom of the door, and the front glass got hot - these spots were hot, but this was far superior to the blistering heat coming off the other units I tried. I imagine the longer it runs, the hotter it gets, but I don't think I'll ever run anything for more that 20 to 25 minutes, so this was very acceptable.Toasting is fast, much faster than I'm used too. The toast shade settings seem reliable. Timer seems accurate (compared with stove top timer).Air frying compared to my dedicated air fryer: I think this works just as well as the dedicated air fryer (I don't have the super top end P-brand fryer, so not comparing to that, but the one I have is mid-range cost and got great reviews). The larger square surface area of the Cuisinart frying basket is I think better than the typical smaller/deeper round type air fryer baskets. The only down side is that you can't "toss" the contents of the basket with the Cuisinart like you can with a dedicated air fryer basket/handle. So it is a little more effort to get an oven mitt to pull out the basket and stir things up (which you really need to do while air frying), so not quite as convenient. Otherwise, it works about the same as the dedicated air fryer in terms of quality of the food. The Cuisinart actually seems to cook faster (I think due to the larger area of the basket allowing a thinner layer of food) and the convection fan is also a lot quieter than my dedicated unit, though it is still noticeable.Overall, very happy with the simplicity of use and the results. Also very happy that I am not afraid to leave it next to the wall due to slag furnace heat emissions....it looks nicer in person than it does on the photos too.I think the only other downside is that the oven interior does seem a little cramped in terms of height. This doesn't bother me since I would never roast a giant chicken in something like this, and it may fit just fine. It seems adequate width and depth overall. This definitely works as a space saving toaster and air fryer combo for me
