Waterproof!!
Easy to use! Doesn't take a lot, and works great. Doesn't leave any marks or discoloration on smooth leather.

Works great!
Updated review, August 2019:I’ve now treated a Carhartt coat, leather boots (twice,) sneakers (twice,) and three bags (two canvas, one polyester/ripstop). I’m using the same can that I bought 8 months ago, and there is still some left in there. It works great!I accidentally put the hiking backpack (polyester bag) to the test earlier today, after treating it last night. My windows in my truck were cracked a little bit more than I thought they were, and it started pouring. Luckily for me, all of my contents were 100% dry.I have treated leather boots with this spray, twice. I got a pair of boots that will be used primarily outdoors. Since it didn’t matter to me if the color changed, I decided to see what happened. After the boots dried, the leather was the exact same color as before. The tongues of the boots are suede. While they appear a little bit darker, I didn’t do a controlled enough test to see if it’s due to the spray, or just the day-to-day wearing of the boots. They still look absolutely fine to me. My boots have only been put to the test in moderate rain, wet grass and puddles, but the Scotchgard seems to be doing its job. While I had perfect results on my outdoor boots, I would never treat an expensive leather bag or nice boots with this spray. I’m not saying it wouldn’t work, but I wouldn’t risk it.For each of the materials, the spray does not prevent every single droplet of water from soaking in. I always see a little bit that ends up getting absorbed. But water doesn’t soak through, and it dries almost immediately. Both my belongings and myself have stayed 100% dry in the rain so far, and I’m very happy with this product.Initial review, December 2018:I’ve used it on a canvas backpack and a Carhartt jacket so far, with great results on both! Works exactly as expected, with no color damage.

Easy application of the product. Went camping during a rain storm, and everything inside the tent stayed dry. The product did its job.

Perfect for cushions on outdoor furniture
We have a pair of teak chairs with Sunbrella cushions on them. We use this spray to help ensure that when the covers get dirty, they can be easily cleaned. This spray doesn't really keep the cushions any cleaner, but it does prevent dirt and spills from doing any damage. Well worth the cost.

This stuff smells awful
Why the heck is there bitterant in a product like scotch guard? Trying to use it is damn near impossible without gagging. Who is the bitterant meant to protect? If you're trying to huff sprayable silicone, you haven't got any brain cells in the first place. Other sprayable waterproofing products that I've used have a slight chemical odor that dissipate within seconds. This stuff stunk for days. It works of course, but you're meant to use this on personal garments, sleeping bags, tents, etc. and have to smell that weird bitterant unless you have the means to keep treated items outside for a week before using them.

Great product that works!
I have used Scotchguard on my furniture and handbags. I was in need of a product to repel the rain off my new windbreaker and shoes. It worked great and dried quickly. I even used it on my dog's jacket. Works great on shoes, too.(read instructions for appropriate product usage).Living in FL, means a good water repellant is needed. Very pleased with this product.
