I thought these were silly for the longest time. I didn't believe they could possibly be much different than the regular, round-tipped Q-Tips.Is anyone else periodically amazed by their own ability to be crazy, super, stupid wrong?Q-Tips are an essential part of my makeup application, as I am a long-time devotee of the black liquid liner cat eye/wing ("long time" as in "since high school," about which I will not elaborate, save to say that two digits are required to express the year span in question).I finally decided to give these a shot a few months ago, and they are outstanding. They really do help to create a sharp, straight line to the wing. See, drawing it right in the first place has never been my method. Instead, I attack my eyelid with ink and hope for a good result. I almost never get one. So I go back with a moist Q-Tip and fix whatever wonky cosmetic atrocity I've inevitably created. As well as the round tip Q-Tips work for this, these pointed ones are leaps and bounds better for creating that elusive crisp line.They also precisely remove lipstick from non-lip locations and polish from areas more finger than nail.

These Q-Tips are perfect for removing excess amounts of mascara. They are also good for refining eyebrow pencil applications or perfecting lip lines. If you're traveling and forgot your eyes hadow brushes, these will make a good substitute. Another use for them is to apply minute amounts of cream medications in precisely the right spot. I like the fact that, the tips stay pointed and the fibers don't spread out. I've even used the Precision Tips dipped into nail polish remover for manicures; removing any polish that is on the skin and not on the nail.If you need to get into very small spots for cleaning, this is a very handy little swab to have on hand. It helps with cleaning crevices when polishing and getting the hard-to-reach areas under the handles of a pot.

These are great for applying anything to your face (e,g. Makeup). It’s specially shaped for the eye area. Excellent for clean-ups around the eyes too! Love these and a great value!

I love these. If you put on eye liner crooked, you can fix it with these.

I'm kicking myself for waiting til I finished my regular Q-tip supply before purchasing the Precision Tips. Every second counts when applying makeup, and I wasted too many precious minutes (and unnecessary energy) with the regular tips. Penny wise, pound foolish!The Precision Tips save me so much time because - unlike with the regular tips that are much fuzzier - I can make quick swipes AND not have to deal w any annoying stray fibers getting stuck to my lashes or eyelids, thereby sparing me the effort and frustration with both application and fiber removal. And since I only wear waterproof mascara and am often clumsy with my application, sometimes I need to use eye makeup remover on the Q-tips to remove the smudges from my eyelids; the PT's tight, angular shape prevents me from getting any of the solvent on my eyelashes. Before, I had to use 1 to 2 of the regular tips (4 ends total) each time, now I only need to use just 1 PT (2 ends total).These are also fantastic for removing nail polish on the cuticles and for anything else that requires accuracy.A must in every beauty arsenal.Update as of Nov 12, 2020:I re-ordered these in 2019 and am down to the last handful. The swabs are no longer pointy and tight as advertised. They're fuzzy, and they come apart on contact. They're also very rough now and too abrasive to use on eyelids.Where, per my prior review, I only needed 1 PT (2 swabs) when cleaning up mascara, with this second batch I was back to using 2-3 PT's (4-6 swabs). Ditto nail polish application. So disappointed. Never buying or using these again.
