I am really impressed with both how well this is made and how well it works. I'd passed on a brand name one I saw that was nearly three times what this one cost, and while the grit seems the same between the two, this one is solid metal in a plastic handle vs the more expensive one being a sheet of metal around a plastic core in a plastic handle. This sharpener gets my hoof knives extremely sharp with very little effort, and is especially great for my loop knife. This oval shaped one leaves a much more consistent edge vs trying to use a thin rod sharpener, and fits perfectly in the hook too. Most of the rod sharpeners I've used do not work well in the hooks, leaving them oddly shaped or not sharpened in the middle. Got through all my knives in minutes, and they actually cut through summer hooves now.

I didn't have to buy another hoof knife. Makes sharpening easy. Well made and easy to use for tight spaces. I tried it on a few kitchen items before my hoof knife LOL. Gonna have to buy one for my kitchen only.

Product performs well but do have concerns on its longevity!

Have u shaped hoof knife and it keeps it very sharp. Do my pocket knife on it. If you have hoof knives, you need to buy this. You will be impressed

Much better than expected. Will probably buy additional to have on hand for knives, etc.

I received it in the mail earlier than stated in the shipping which was nice. I used it and it sharpened better than I thought. One drawback is that it has a plastic handle. All in all it is exactly what I needed for the price.

I used it today and it put a great edge on my hoof knifes not sure of the longevity of it but it does work good
