Best button hole maker ever plus so much more
I LOVE this machine! I've had it for months now, and it continues to impress. First, it does great button holes even in challenging fabrics such as fleece. There is a stabilizer clamp to make the fabric hold still. The self threader actually works. It has a button that cuts the thread at the end of a seam line so I rarely need to pick up a scissors while sewing. It doesn't need oiling!! It handles many kinds of fabrics with ease. There are three ways to control the speed of stitching including a slider on the front, a foot pedal and a knee bar. Amazing design! The cover is a carrying case. It comes with a small extension table. It is very easy to fill bobbins and to install them correctly. So far, I have found no fault at all and I am seriously in love with this machine!

Best machine I've ever owned
This machine is easy to use, sews through about anything, and it's built great. I love it and have used it for a couple years now worth zero issues.

Superb!
I've had this machine for five months now, and let me tell you, it is worth every penny! I've been sewing for over 30 years and have used many different home sewing machines, but NONE beat this Juki. It offers super-smooth sewing, power, and general ease. I never thought I'd use the automatic thread cutting, but it saves time and has become one of my favorite features. I also love that this comes with so many feet and that you can control the speed not just with the foot pedal, but with a switch on the machine itself. (The super-slow setting is perfect for teaching my daughter how to sew.) I find machine quilting on this machine SO easy, and the same goes for all the standard clothes-sewing features, like buttonhole making and seam finishes. I'm thrilled with this purchase.

This is a workhorse machine.
My review of the Juki HZL-D600. I bought it in January 2023, so I’ve used it for a couple of months now. I can say that it’s very smooth and not picky about the types of thread that you use, like my Janome was. The D600 comes with several accessories for quilting included in the price, which I liked, including a walking foot and an extension table. This machine is made specifically for quilting, and those items would have been price add-ons with a different machine. Other things I do, and do not like:• This machine has a setting for a ¼” seam with your regular foot, so no need to change out presser feet while sewing on a quilt. Just make sure when you turn it on, you change the setting, so you don’t forget. (Experience speaking here)• It has two LED lights, one over the needle, and one over the throat space. I especially like that.• The thread is hidden in the top flip-up compartment, which gives the machine a clean look while sewing. NOTE—this can be an issue with extra large spools, but I found opening the lid resolves that.• The needle threader. Out of every machine I’ve ever used in my 62 years of life, this is the best needle threader, hands down. It works every single time, without fail. I have struggled with so many threaders on machines in my past, but this one is just perfect.• It has an adjustable presser foot tension. This is important when you are using a walking foot to do straight line quilting, to prevent puckering on the back.• Unlike some other “quilting” machines, this machine has plenty of decorative stitches and buttonhole options for those who sometimes do fashion sewing or home décor. The one and only Con I find is that the thread cutter is not working, and it took a while to determine that. This machine has a feature where you can press the foot pedal with your heel, and it will cut thread. But, this foot pedal is also much higher than we are used to, and you have to put your entire foot on it to operate it properly, and press with determination. So when I started out, my machine would take one stitch, then grunt and stop. I was not putting my foot far enough forward on the pedal, and I was engaging the thread cutter by accident, stopping the sewing action. I finally disconnected the foot pedal and the machine ran fine by hand, so I realized it was the pedal. Luckily, you are able to program the machine to not use the thread cutter on the pedal, so I did that. But then in trying to use the thread cutter from the machine button, it causes thread clusters and jams every time. I did not feel like this was enough of an issue for me personally to box up and ship my machine off for warranty repair. I am well within my warranty period, so if something else happens, I will address it then. I have so many positives about this machine that I can live without a thread cutter.

Bobbin hook timing slipped after 1 use
The timing of the bobbin hook slipped after one use with a brand new needle and moderately thick fabric. I’ve been sewing for a decade, never had a brand new sewing machine become unusable so quickly. I’ve sewed 5x thicker fabric on my $190 singer heavy duty for 5+ years without an issue. I took apart the machine to adjust the bobbin hook timing, and the set screws were impossible to loosen. Emails with Juki tech support told me it’s a timing belt, not the set screws like on literally every other machine I’ve worked on to adjust hook timing and that I need to send it in for warranty repair. Except warranty doesn’t include shipping it to and from Miami (hundreds of dollars). So it’s getting returned, and I will probably not risk buying a Juki again.

Fantastic machine!!
This machine is a quilter's dream! Very sturdy, beautiful stitching, and so easy to use and set up!! Well worth the money. I will be using this machine for years to come.I have had it for 3+ years now and have made MANY quilts on it. Not one problem!! I did have to replace the needle threader, but it was MY fault. I did not have the needle raised and I messed it up. Truly the best machine I have ever had in 60+ years of sewing!!!
