Slippery Elm Bark Powder (2lb) Pure & Natural, Vegan, Gluten-Free

When I opened this is was dark brown and super fine. It didn't resemble slippery elm powder. I tasted it and it tastes like bitter roasted malt. It is nothing like pure slippery elm powder that I thought I purchased.I also purchased marshmallow root powder at the same time. So I quickly opened the marshmallow and I was also very dissapointed! It also was a super fine dark brown powder that smelled and tasted like bitter roasted malt.I am so sad and soooo dissapointed. I wasted my money. I can't even handle the taste and I am sure this stuff has no medicinal value. If you are looking for herbs for health and healing stay away from this company. Sadly, I didn't open the packages and realize they were not what I needed until the return/refund window was closed. Hopefully I learned my lesson.

Using it to treat jones ( pronounced yee-own-ees ) in a cow. Its so far working. Her stoole is pretty much normal now and no longer a poop water fall. The lump under her jaw is reduced by at least 50%, her appetite has increased dramatically.

I'm not sure what this is, but I doubt it's slippery elm. It has a bitter aftertaste, and looks nothing like the typical lighter color I'm used to. Waste of money. You get what you paid for. UPDATE: They were kind enough to refund me for the product. Prompt customer service.

Every time i have used slippery elm it has had the consistency of flour and when mixed with water it became viscous which made for a nice coating down the esophagus and the stomach. This item is like fine sand, it doesn't have the same viscosity and the taste is bitter.I only got it because it seemed a good value and my health food store has been out of it.I am still hoping to find the real/original thing with the mild taste I am used to, and the soothing coating of my GI system after mixing with water.Any one with tips to find the flour like item, please share!
