Werner OBEL04 Old Blue Electricians 375-Pound Duty Rating Fiberglass Stepladder/Job Station, 4-Foot

I bought this ladder via Amazon for home use not because I'm an electrician, but because at the time I was over 400 lbs and wanted something rated closer to my weight. I'm well under my peak wait and closer to 300 lbs on my way to better health. But you didn't come here to read about my health, you came to read about the ladder.Let me start by saying this thing is solid. I've used various fiberglass ladders on the job from Werner and Louisville that ranged for 6 foot to 12 foot platform style ladders. There has always been a bit a sway with them and I expected some wobble. There just isn't any sway or wobble with this ladder that I've noticed after about a year of moderate use (2-3 times per month). I'm very pleased and I feel very safe whenever I'm on this ladder. Admittedly, I'm 6'3" and afraid of heights. I used to hesitate going higher than the second rung from the floor on other ladders but I have great confidence on this ladder. I've used it on concrete in my garage and dirty and grass around my house when I've needed to get into the gutter or hang plants for my wife and Christmas lights.The other thing that I really like about this ladder is that there are holes in the top for hand tools but also notches for a utility bucket accessory (Werner AC52-UB Lock-In Utility Bucket) that I've also purchased. It snaps in rather solidly and accommodates a wide variety of parts or tools. I built a storage loft in my garage and spent a lot of time up on my ladder. The bucket was a nice place to store screw, brackets, my drill and bits so that I could be working longer without frequent trips up and down. Brilliant!

This is absolutely the most rugged, stable, useful lil ladder I have owned in 40 years of the trades. Now all I have to do is stop my buddies from borrowing it. You pay the price in that it is a little heavey than lesser rated ladders, but well worth the trade off. Love all the little tool holes and caddy on board the top level. Note the little pivoting brackets are inboard of the legs so no more ripping them off or bending them when you stuff it in a full truck bed. Well thought out design well executed.

This ladder collapsed !! I've had this ladder for over 10 years. A great ladder until last week when the large side bent in and collapsed at the bottom. It's been inside my van and is not weathered. Showed it to 2 supply houses and they couldn't believe it. Will keep you updated on what Werner will do. The ladder was in a closet and when turning around on the ladder it collapsed !!

Great work ladder. Has the wire spool holding rings. Good and sturdy the extra baskets u can get do fit mice

I am not an electrician, but I am a large man. I have several projects to do around my house that require a ladder. This ladder is very well made and feels very sturdy and solid, I feel very safe climbing it. It is well worth having such a sturdy ladder, and the price is a bargain.

Werner Ladders have always been a very user friendly ladder, now with the Old Blue Electrician's ladder, this is even more so the case. If you ever "run conduit" and have used your ladder as a make shift vise to hold conduit, you will never use another ladder. The built in conduit holder works like a dream. Another nice feature are the holes underneath the rungs that allow you to use this ladder as an "A-frame" with an axle for pulling wire or anything else you have on a spool. There has been some real thought put into the engineering of this ladder. I couldn't be happier.
