Exactly what I was looking for. I needed a dictaphone/voice recorder to record meeting notes for work. I also have a digital audio diary which I keep for personal reasons. The Homder voice recorder is small, compact, well-designed and the audio capture is excellent. It would fit in your pocket easily. It has stereo recording and playback, either through the little speakers or via the headphone jack. It was fully charged when it arrived and the battery life is excellent. A USB cable is included for charging and for copying files between your computer or laptop and the recorder. A full menu system allows you to set the language and date and time - helpful if you want your recordings stored in chronological order. There are plenty of other settings to tweak and play with if you want to - the fully comprehensive and pleasantly surprisingly well-written manual goes into all the detail you need. You can change the recording quality, whether the AVR (Activated Voice Recording) is set, room setting, whether or not the LED recording light is on or off, recording file division size, and auto shutoff period. However, I must stress that these are all options - the device will work perfectly well out of the box. Switch it on, press the record button and you're good to go. The display screen is small due to the compact size, so people like me who are in our advancing years may need our reading glasses on to see the display properly. The display shows you everything you need to know about your recordings (date, time, length, recording time left, etc.I am really impressed with the quality of audio that it picks up, even if the device is far away from the speaker or other audio source. I would recommend the Homder Digital Voice Recorder to anyone who needs to record voice or other audio for work, school, university or personal use.As an added bonus you could even use it as an MP3 player.

I was expecting a larger unit but was pleased to receive a very slim petite unit which would easily fit in my pocket or handbag. (Hence the photo with a £1 coin). Solid and very well made. The instructions are very useful and the unit is easy to set up and use. The sound quality is excellent and picks up well both near and far away. There are a lot of functions which I have yet to try but probably would not need for my use. For a younger person wanting use for say lectures etc I would imagine the unit functions would be extremely helpful. The unit is easy to charge via a USB and the battery life is excellent. I easily recorded a four hour meeting with loads of memory space and battery charge left. The record back quality is excellent. I have not yet tried to transfer this to my computer but I believe this is possible. I will update this when I have tried it. The buying process was excellent and delivery prompt. I had to replace my old SANYO recorder, which after a few years had stopped working. By comparison, the Homder is smaller, fits very well even in smaller pocket and the feel in your hands is of quality material, not plasticky stuff. Very easy to use, light, I have had it for 10 months and run 10 recordings on it, all indoors. Quality of sounds is more than adequate for what I need - recording meetings - so no complaint. The stereo mic works well and the charging system works great, as a simple plug-in. The only thing I think that could be improved in my view is the charging time, which I expected to be shorter given the small size of the recorder.All in all, well worth buying and would definitely recommend it.

I have used this to record interviews for a book I'm writing. It has coped with a range of environments, a room, a cafe, etc. and has been reliable and recorded clearly even at a bit of a distance. The playback is a bit rough on the recorder as it has small speakers, but fine when uploaded to a pc and listened through that. It is so small - good in some ways in that it is unobtrusive and light to carry - but that makes reading the tiny screen difficult for an oldie. The buttons are OK and once you have read the instructions a few times become intuitive. It comes with cable to connect to pc which is good and how it charges. Holds battery well. Very pleased overall. Does the job.

I normally use a zoom recorder for my assignments and interviews, but it's a bit bulky for carrying around. This device is very small and fits in my pocket. Very handy to use. Just take it out, switch it on and press the record button. It records in mp3 format and the recordings are easily imported into my laptop for editing. This is a pretty good device for the price.

Extremely easy to use and record, build quality feels really high quality with a metal finish. Also easy to transfer and rename files if you connect it up to a computer. The device itself is brilliant, the reason for the 3 star review is that it came delivered covered in some chemical smelling liquid that I have no clue as to what it was. The entire box itself was completely soaked through but the product still worked perfectly fine.Would recommend

Only my failing eyesight hinders my use. Screen and instruction manual a tad small for me. However, once I understood the menu system everything fell into place. recorder is easy to use has ample storage for my needs (8gb, recording as mp3, more than enough recording time for my needs) Microphone sensitive on recording and playback quality good.Not sure about adding different file names as my eyes are not up to it. All in all good value for money.

I deleted an important recording in an attempt to record something I needed because the ‘memory full’ message popped up unexpectedly. The device keeps saying memory full. There is only a total of 7 minutes recorded but it keeps saying memory full. I wouldn’t re-purchase.

Format très compacte de bonne facture avec une excellente autonomie. L'écran est un peu petit. Il n'est néanmoins pas évidant d'effectuer certains réglages, il faut tester avant. Mais rien de bloquant. Attention au bouton d'enregistrement, situé à côté du bouton d'allumage : il est facile de se tromper. J'ai coupé le dictaphone et non l'enregistrement. J'ai perdu ce dernier.
