The mop wringer you have been looking for!
Wow, where do I begin? This Wringer is Literally Hands down the best one I have ever had. I cant believe the durability of this thing. Nearly all metal, Very robust, Allows for heavy pressure to be applied and wrings an extraordinary amount of water. I only just got it so I will update accordingly. No assembly, just fit it onto a home depot orange bucket. No more horrible ,cheap plastic wringers that suck. I cant fathom why the big box stores dont have these, If you are hesitant to buy, dont be. Unless you just have to have something on wheels I would not worry. Yes, it is a little heavier but unless you are really old or lack strength it should be no problem. Sure, you will have to carry the bucket around, but I mean does it really matter? For the average homeowner I would say no, and if this is for commercial jobs I would still recommend it and also recommend you find a bucket with wheels that would work with this item. You will be able to put out a lot of water onto the floor and pick a lot of water up with your mop because you will be wringing it out so well. I use a two bucket system, one with clean water and one with the wringer that wrings it out.Honestly the price is fair, if this thing holds up you will save money because you wont be having to buy a new mop bucket/combo year after year. I got mine used from amazon warehouse so I figured what is the worst that can happen? IF it sucks Ill just return it which is allowed per the return policy, However, so far this thing is awesome. I recommend you give it a try and see for yourself just how much water this wrings out. I also happen to use a larger mop which holds more water, similar to what you might see a janitor at a school using, so I guess if u have a very small mop it might not be as noticeable to you.I cant believe more people haven't bought this item yet. I mean, seriously, it is exactly what I was looking for and hope it holds up.

Is this handle upside down?
UPDATE: They overnighted the replacement to me and it works great. The other one was obviously jammed. This is a great wringer, and I am very pleased with its sturdiness and usefulness! Thank you. :DIt looks like it would be a great wringer -- sturdy and all -- if the handle worked. It seems to be upside down to me and the squeeze part won't open any wider than about an inch and a half because the handle is in this position. Am I missing something or did I get a weird one? I asked for a replacement and they are sending me one, but I want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding how this handle is supposed to work.

came with handle upside down
This metal wringer seems very sturdy but came with handle upside down. Since I did not open it right away now I can not return it . Amazon only gives you a month to return it I should have bought it elsewhere!

Great replacement for the plastic alternatives thet have crept into the mop bucket world.
Great replacement for the new and wonderful plastic alternative thet have crept into the mop bucket world. You have to turn the supports in slightly to fit the plastic bucket but this one actually lets you wring the mops "dry" for a final going over to get wet spots up. And you aren't replacing them once a month when a plastic part fails.

Great product but…
After going through several different plastic mop wringers that broke, found this all-metal unit and decided to try it. Very impressive looking, sturdily constructed, smooth action, and felt like it would last a lifetime. Unfortunately, trying to fit it to our small arsenal of mop buckets, discovered the mounting hooks only allow for about a 3/4” lip on the bucket. All of ours had at least a 1” lip, so without having to replace all of our existing mop buckets, had to return this item. Disappointing! The search for a sturdy wringer continues. It would have been helpful if this information was noted in the product description, or possibly show a recommended bucket to use with this wringer. It didn’t work for us, but for anyone that has an appropriately sized bucket, I would highly recommend this wringer!

It works well
The item is durable and it works well. But my only complaint is the packaging of the items. The boxes come damaged and is always missing a screw or nut. Luckily we have that in our company.

Amazon resold me a defective wringer
I bought a Genuine Joe wringer that was amazon special at a discount price. I was told it had a damaged box. When it arrived the handle was facing upside down. I went to the amazon question and answer/review page and found another review with the exact same problem. her's was defective and amazon send her a replacement. It written by Kathryn Akins 5.0 out of 5 stars "Is this handle upside down?"Amazon had repackaged her's return and sent it to me.I examined the wringer, the handle had been welded in the wrong position, there was no way it could be easily fixed. In order to fix it the welds on the cranking arm had to be carefully ground off, and reinstalled in the correct position. and welded back together. This not a easy job so I called amazon, told them the problem, after our conversation they gave me a fully refund and told me to keep the wringer. do what ever I wanted to it.I had nothing to loose so I decided to tackle the repair. I spent a couple of hours on the repair and I was able to repair it enough to get it working again with hose clamps securing the the parts. it now needs to be re- welded but it is working. It was a fun satisfying project.I tried it and I absolutely love the way it wrings mops out. I highly recommend the Genuine Joe over any plastic wringer out there.yes it fits perfectly in a home depot orange 5 gallon bucket.. I will use two 5 gallon buckets, one for washing the other for wringing. I will make a rolling cart for the two buckets to sit side by side.

The handle isn't upside down!
The media could not be loaded. Works great. Handle is down for shipment in the "squeezed" position. Its solid. Old school.
