Waiting for results
Have kept in descaled kettle. Nothing built up after about 40-45 boilings. But can better review after some further use.Bought 2 of this. Another is kept in partially scalled kettle. Will observe the results. So far not much effect seen in the scalled kettle (after 25 boilings)

The descaler attracts the limescale, leaving my kettle sparkling clean
Chef Aid Stainless Steel Doughnut Kettle Descaler: A Must-Have for Tea LoversI recently purchased the Chef Aid Stainless Steel Doughnut Kettle Descaler, and I'm so glad I did! As someone who drinks a lot of tea, I've noticed that limescale buildup can really affect the taste and quality of my brew. This little gadget has been a game-changer.It's incredibly easy to use. Simply pop it into your kettle, fill it with water, and let it boil. The descaler attracts the limescale, leaving my kettle sparkling clean. I've noticed a significant improvement in the taste of my tea since I started using it. Plus, it's made from stainless steel, so it's durable and long-lasting.I highly recommend the Chef Aid Stainless Steel Doughnut Kettle Descaler to anyone who wants to keep their kettle clean and their tea tasting great. It's a small investment for a big payoff.

Works well...With a little help.
I ordered this on the 22nd July. When it arrived a few days later I de-scaled the kettle as normal. This is something I would do every week, dropped the wire pad in the kettle and as you can see by the photo6/7 weeks later still good. People say this does not work, It does but it is not magic, the lime scale is still there but not stuck to the bottom of the kettle.1. Descale kettle before adding.2. Every morning before using the kettle for the first time, tip away any water and rinse out.Every few days you will find pieces of limescale in the wire pad, rinse under the tap.

The limescale deposited is washed away and your kettle's inside is scale free.It won't take all the limescale away of course and the action of the pad means that your hot drink may taste a little bit more from the limescale you are now drinking."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Can this be used in a plastic kettle?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"Yes I’ve used them in plastic kettles. I know that when I tip it out and rinse it under the tap it looks very dull as if it's done some good and it comes up shiny again when rinsed. It's not that expensive so it may be stopping some of the limescale but in this hard water area there's always going to be some forming on the kettle after a short while."}}]}]}
