Jose Cuervo Especial Reposado Tequila is a premium 38% ABV spirit, crafted from 100% blue agave grown in Jalisco’s volcanic soil. Aged for 6 months in oak barrels, it delivers a smooth, crisp taste with earthy, herbal, and floral notes. I didn't know about tequila until visiting Mexico. It's similar to Scottish whiskey in variety, quality and tastes. The three main types including the white 'petrol' are not really graded by quality, although the prices go up for the best anejo (aged in casks like whiskey). A tequila good shop has maybe 500-1,000 varieties.This one is representative of a good reposado and well priced. 1800 is better, but you pay for it and to be hinest, it's all subjective.This is a good tequila and can be drunk neat.
