Quick easy repair to exhaust pipe
I followed the instructions running the engine for 2 minutes prior to application. The slight warmth of the pipe seemed to help the adhesion of the tape but any hotter may have made wrapping around the pipe more difficult. There are 2 parts a metal foil that goes around the pipe first followed by the tape. This tape has is protected by a film on both sides that has to be removed. I found it easier to pull back this film in stages to prevent the risk of the tape getting stuck to itself.

Not as durable as I hoped
Snapped really easily :/ needed more durability

Really don't bother
It does not work. Inflexible and simply does not adhere. I used a bandage years ago and I recall having to soak it first, those were great, this is meant to get hot and presumably release glues. Well it's so stiff it cannot be wrapped tight.

Seems to work okay
I used it to repair silencer on a compact tractor. In the instructions it says "ideally use gloves". I would say you need to use double nitrile gloves as once this stuff gets warm it it very sticky and seems to corrode the nitrile and get on fingers very easily. It is not easy to get off. In the instructions it also says "you may need to bind with wire". You absolutely MUST bind with wire otherwise it inflates like a balloon and comes off. Having said this after a bit of huffing and puffing it has done a serviceable job and I would cautiously recommend. I have to say I was doing this job on a compact tractor with a vertical exhaust. It might have been more of a faff on a car on axle stands in the drive!!
