I chef’d my way through school (now retired) & being a ‘certified’ knife nut; I have a lot of very nice cutting boards. That incudes my Boos island, & several nice large to medium boards. I drive my wife nuts with the maintenance, especially with all the end grain I am crazy for.So, I ordered this as a ‘gift’ for my wife. Unwrapping it, I got the expected response bewailing yet another board. Now, my wife likes putting cheese & snack platters together often. She didn’t understand the routed out sections, but once explained, she had to admit that this was something we just didn’t know we needed.The routed side of the board came out beautifully finished, the back (flat) side was a bit rougher. I almost broke out the wet-sand kit, but began conditioning with Food Grade Mineral oil. This really made the wood “Pop”. I put about 5-6 coats over 3 days before I wax it down. I noticed a lot of the roughness on the flat side was relieved with the oil. So it probably came to me a little dried out. It waxed out smooth so I am happy.This piece really elevates the cheese & charcuterie service, and is especially elegant for entertaining guests.My wife & I are really happy to have this in our collection.

Great cutting board with easy to follow seasoning instructions. It's gorgeous and a favorite!

We've used this mostly as a serving board, I have other cutting boards, and this one is really pretty. I use parchment to line the wells, then I'll use a large piece of lettuce or something similar over that, just to help with clean up and to keep as much water/moisture from the board itself. Very nice set up, we've done several different themes, appetizers, desserts, cheese, fruits, etc. We've even used it in a buffet set up and put in the stuff that's pairing with what the meal is, condiments, dressings, we did a burger bar once and this held the onions, tomatoes, and lettuce, with little cups for the ketchup, mustard, and such along the solid part. Very handy, great for presentation, wipes right clean, and do be sure to condition and oil it properly. I do mine based on use, but my wooden boards last forever because I'm very careful to take proper care of them. If nothing else, they all get six month care as a routine, some are used more often and I'll get those conditioned and oiled more often as a result. Great board to have if you like to entertain, very versatile in terms of use as well.

The media could not be loaded. I was in need of a new cutting board and when I came across this board, the design on top of the additional serving board on the other side had me intrigued. After using this board, it is everything I expected it would be and I’m very happy that I got this.This board is very sturdy, very solid. It has some weight as well as thickness to it that inspires confidence and longevity. The surface of the board has a beautiful elegant color and design, very pleasing to the eye. And most importantly, it functions flawlessly as a cutting board. The surface of the board is very smooth and very solid, making for easy cutting and arranging of ingredients. The wells on the edge are handy for catching excess juices. And finally, the addition of allowing the other side to be used as a serving board or party tray is a nice touch, increasing the uses of this board (dishes not included, I added ones that I had on hand into the photo).The board also comes with a nice little thank you card and a set of detailed and professional care and use instructions.My overall impressions, a lot of thought and care was put into this cutting board. Definitely an upgrade over other cutting boards I have used in the past in terms of versatility, robustness, and material quality. Recommended.
