NoctuaNF-S12A PWM chromax.black.swap, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (120mm, Black)

If you need airflow this is the fan for you, has to be the perfect fan for anywhere unrestricted (with no radiator or much else to block airflow). Changing from a generic 120mm fan to this as exhaust dropped my idle temps 10 degrees while being just so quiet.

Unique fan focused on high airflow, low pressure and it does it with very little noise. More importantly, I find the noise profile to be pleasing.Lots of other fans which aim for a balance of both airflow and pressure often create much more disturbing vibrations and deep humming noises you can hear from a distance. This fan is perfect for case exhaust!

There isn't much I can say here that's not already been said before. These fans are ridiculously quiet, even at full speed, keep my case really cool and I will be using Noctua every chance I get in future.

You don't have to worry about quality when buying from noctua, they're guaranteed to be the best fans money can buy

Made in Taiwan, came with silver screws instead of black, this was the only difference i could find compared to versions made in china which came with black screws which are more cosmetically pleasing and to be expected in this day with the majority of cases being black. This is the only flaw i could really find as the fan itself is perfect. So reuse your old screws if this is an issue or order extra black fan screws.....Also should mention, the cable from the fan is about 1-2cm long which comes with an extension which you connect at that point, this is the absolute worst idea ever and the guy who made this decision should be sacked, its completely stupid, gets in the way of other fans so if you stack 3 at the front of you case, this connector will be in the way, unless you flip the fan 90degrees but then the sticker logo isnt the right way, its just plain stupid, these fans were made to be cosmetically pleasing with the changable colour corners, which you only get 4 of each color and not 8, but they have ruined so many other cosmetic issues for no reason and its just plain dumb decision making from noctua....still, awesome fan though :)Brought 2 more, love em :p

I have expectations for Noctua and they are high because their quality is high but I wasnt expecting this fan to be as quiet as it was even compared to my other noctua fans, Im not too fond of the price but you get what you pay for and that is a quality product.

It's Noctua, not much else to say really. Very high build quality, excellent packaging and does what it is supposed to.

Quite, effective, and looks really clean. Only have 1 s12a running as back exhaust between 80-100% fan speed. Dead silent and keeps things nice and cool.

I created a system to provide cooling for an AV cabinet in a closet. Components include Aventage, Emotiva and Oppo. The cooling equipment used includes:1. Noctua Fans (3) (model# NF-S12A PWM)2. Noctua Fan controller (model# NA-FC1)3. Noctua Extension cables (model# NA-SEC1)4. Cablemod's molex to SATA cable (model# CM-CAB-MSAP 45KK-R)5. Coolerguys AC power adaptor (110V AC to DC 12V Power Supply with 4 pin Molex)The fans are laid flat on top of the receiver and amplifier pulling air up through the units. Of course, the anti-vibration corner pieces protect the AV equipment and prevent the fans from moving around. There is approximately 4" between the top of each AV component and the shelf above. This seems to allow sufficient air circulation.All Noctua components were packaged nicely and functioned perfectly out of the box. Connections are solid. Using the fans full speed, they are very quiet and are effective in keeping the components at less than 82F degrees. The Noctua Fan Controller is tiny -- about the size of a man's thumb.When setting up the system, I reached out to Noctua for some technical assistance. They were prompt and provided excellent guidance on connecting the power supply to the speed control (Cablemod's connector).The Cablemod's cable has solid connections and functions well. The only thing that would be nice is an outer sheath to keep all four wires together for a cleaner appearance.The Coolerguys AC power adaptor appears well made and functions well to power the three fans.Overall, the system has been running for about 1 month and I am quite satisfied with each of the components and would recommend them to anyone looking for an effective cooling system for an AV cabinet.

Ho preso due ventole della Noctua NF-S12A da 120mm per migliorare l'air flow del mio case, infatti vanno montate nel case. Sono ottime da installare, in estrazione o immissione hanno un eccellente efficacia del flusso d'aria e sono super silenziose, insomma sono ideali per il raffreddamento del case. Quando il postino mi ha consegnato il pacco di Amazon (in anticipo rispetto alla consegna stabilita) contenente le due ventole mi sono accorto che aprendole tutte e due, in una ventola lo scatolino dei gommini anti vibrazione non era sigillato come l'altro ed era un pò strappato, mi sono anche accorto che mancavano le viti. Ho contattato subito il produttore Noctua e l'ho fatto presente: non me l'hanno fatto ripetere, si sono scusati per il disaggio e mi hanno spedito un set di viti. Purtroppo sono imprevisti che succedono l'importante è rimediare. Sono stati cortesi e professionali si vede già da questo che è un'azienda seria che fa prodotti di prima qualità, le ventole sono un pò care ma come si sa la qualità si paga. Sono soddisfatto e per tutto questo metto 5 stelle. Mi riservo in futuro se devo aggiornare la recensione
