Scan PPERESPP2 Twin Half Mask Respirator Plus P2 Dust Filter Cartridges

This is the second of these I've bought - the first lasted about 4 years (not on the same cartridges, obviously). It's a good bit of kit... comparatively comfy to wear, good fit, easy breathing, and way better protection than those useless disposable dust masks your employer probably gives you. Shop around when you're buying cartridges as the prices vary a lot. Probably worth getting one of these even if you're a smoker -- your lungs are struggling as it is, why make it worse for them?One thing -- they do make it difficult to wear certain safety goggles/glasses. The big 'scientist' ones are OK, the cooler 'sports glasses' type tend to steam up/not fit very well when I use them.

firstly, you have to be really careful with this. The strap fixes to brittle plastic on the front of the mask. Any little knock can easily snap the plastic. Considering i wanted this mask to wear when working, coring holes, climbing around roof spaces, I would have liked to have been a little tougher. My first one broke, but i had no real difficulty in getting it replaced, and now, with a little extra care, the second one is lasting ok.The strap can also slip and loosen too, it was doing this at the start but seems to have tightened slightly over time. I now fix it in such a way that the loose strap at the back is slipped in behind the tight strap and held between itself and my head. (did that make sense?)Also when i first got it i had to affix the 2 filters myself, which was really difficult. It is such a tight fit that you have press them in realllly hard and twist at the same time. Got it eventually though.The mask itself is great. Maybe a little difficult to breathe though, but i suppose most masks are like that.

I was looking for a decent mask to wear when sanding down my boat gunnells. Teak is a hardwood and throws off a very fine dust when sanded. In the past I used disposable face masks and I found that a lot of the dust used to get in around the area just below the eye, and it was difficult to wear safety glasses with the disposable masks, because they would constantly steam up. No such problems to report with my new Mask Respirator, it's so comfortable to wear that after a few minutes at work I forgot I had it on, and that's the sure sign of a good product. I'm very pleased with this product.

what a load of crap, i brought 2 very cheapy made, its a nightmare try to attach the side bits and when you do they fall of when working , do your self a favor don't waste yor money I DID

I've had this mask for about 8 months now and use it for 1-2 hours per week average. While I've replaced the filters once and the mask works quite well for cleaning the air and is also a reasonably snug fit, the rubber that is in contact with skin is breaking down and I reckon I will have to junk the whole thing in a few weeks.All in all, I think my decision to buy this over the more expensive options (e.g. 3M) was a false economy.

Nice Mask, Fliters quite difficult to lock in place, straps a bit flimsey, once set up, it works well snug fit.replacement filters to expensive

bought that mask to help me during preparation for pointing job as i was using a grinder on mortar, mask is very comfortable and renewable filters cost only 10£. it suppose to last for 28days, but you can use it for longer as filters work very well. cant go wrong on that one, especially for 15£ price. highly recommended even for toughest of the jobs.

As previous reviewers have said, fitting the filter cups into the mask required a lot of effort. I'm a big lad and it took all my strength to fit them into place. On the good side the design makes putting the mask on and off a doddle.It is very comfortable to wear for prolonged periods and feels cooler than the paper masks I have used before. I was working in old soot from the chimney and it kept the majority of it at bay. On the minus side the plastic straps are quite flimsy looking and replacement filters are expensive. That said mine is still going strong. The advert is a bit decieving too, (Plus P2 Dust Filter Cartridges) I took this to mean two spares at approximately a tenner it sealed the deal for me. However it means that the mask is bare and the P2 filters need to be fitted leaving no spares!!! The deal doesn't look as good now to me.
