Decent fix
The product fixed my leak. I saw another review say it flips the hot and cold. It did this for me and I just flipped the valve to fix it. I had to use the old valve plate to hold it in because the one that came had threaded holes for the screws to hold the cover. No issue whatsoever, I just want people to keep the old plate until the job is fully done.Note that the picture shows the old valve plate.

Replaced 25 year old part
Seems to have done the job. My son and I replaced the cartridge after watching a youtube and it did the trick. We had no plumbing experience but we took a chance and it saved me quite a bit of money. Time will tell if the part holds up.
