My pond has been suffering from the post-winter annual green-water growth. I use a conventional UV steriliser combined with filters in line with my pond pump, but the algae growth tends to bypass the graded sponge filters. I use a layer of this Filter Wool/Floss as the final filter before the water re-enters the pond and it does the job well.

Usually get Fluvals own filter cloth but thought I’d try this instead. Much better value for money and works just as well

I ordered this filter wool/Floss for our fish tank from Amazon because the one we have needed replacing. When we went to the Pet Shop they did not have any replacements in and the only thing they suggested was buying a new pond filter which I thought was a big much because when we bought the fish tank there should have been replacement filter wool/floss already in store. Now we have a roll which can be cut into shape and in the long run saves us money. Well worth it.

Have used it in my pond filter and my aquarium fluval filter. Very pleased on both counts.
