Stunning quality.
The media could not be loaded. When I saw these my first question was this - 'can a pair of nail clippers be worth £23.95?' (as at 13 February 2023). My second question was 'can I have a pair?'. The answer to both questions is yes.I recently bought a similar sized pair of nail clippers at a supermarket for £2, these are twelve times the price and I consider these to be better in every way, including value-wise, so why are they worth the money?• Build quality - made with a decent gauge of stainless steel, they're weighty without being heavy.• Smooth action and a nice, crisp cut.• Ergonomic design - they fit nicely in the hand making them effortless to use.• The lever mechanism. If you look at the clippers you have at home you will see that the post just behind the cutting edges has a notch in it where the lever mechanism is attached - this means the lever is only hooked on to the post, and it's fairly easy to detach. The lever on this clipper is attached to the post by a pin that goes THROUGH the post - no danger of the lever coming adrift from the clipper.• Aesthetically pleasing - brushed steel always looks nicer than stainless steel or chrome plating.Always buy the best you can afford - there's nothing wrong with a £2 pair of nail clippers, and, let's face it, they're doing the same job as these clippers at twelve times the price, so these are most definitely an investment piece. If you are professional then these will stand you in good stead, if they're for home use these will, I'm sure, last a lifetime.Really pleased to have them. These are for MY use, not my husbands. He'll have to use the supermarket clippers...

6cm finger nail clippers
These clippers are made from brushed stainless steel in Solingen in Germany. They come in a plastic wrapped card backed package with a hygiene seal. The clippers are very sharp and cut cleanly even on dry nails, though the recommendation is to soak the nails first. After clipping the recommended treatment is to sterilise the blades of the clippers and then dry them, and to file the nails gently in one direction. These instructions result in neatly filed nails. The clippers appear very well made and they do a great job, cutting well. They are not really suitable for toe nails, however, I think you might need a longer, larger pair, however Rui Smiths make a huge range of clippers, cuticle trimmers, and other implements for manicure and pedicure purposes.I would recommend these clippers as they have great clipping blades and do a clean job very effectively.

Really sturdy but expensive
When you compare this nail clipper to an ordinary one you can definitely tell the difference. It’s really high quality but I don’t think I would pay the full price for it.

Rui Smiths - Pro Precision Nail Clippers
I have had a cheap (£2 or £3) set of nail clippers that I have used for the past 20 odd years that have served me well, but they have definitely lost their edge and now tend to rip the nail, as opposed to cut it.I was offered the chance to review this set from Rui Smiths, which looked like they would make a great replacement. The nail clippers are approximately 6cm in length and when removed from their packaging, they certainly have a premium look and feel, with their ergonomic shape and brushed finish to the high quality Inox Stainless Steel. The blades have a curved shape to them and are nice and sharp, as you would expect.***** In The Box *****1 x NI-CL-60 Nail Clippers***** Conclusion *****I have to be honest and say that if I hadn’t have received this product to review, I would have looked at the price and skipped past them on the product selection pages. There is no way I would have paid more than around £5 for a pair of nail clippers, but after actually using them, I would definitely be open to spending more and buying this product in the future. The product looks and feels really nice to use and cuts thought nails with ease.I was a little unsure about the 6cm length and thought they might be just a little small to use comfortably, but they are actually a great size – especially with the curved shaped to the handles.I initially thought the £23.95 asking price was pretty expensive, but after thinking about it – if this product lasts as long as my cheap pair and given their far higher quality metal, I see no reason why they shouldn’t, the yearly cost would be £1 or less making them seem pretty decent value. So overall, this is definitely a product worth considering.
