Bought to use on a side valve engine
Functions effectively on the side valve engine I needed it for. It will have limited use but the action was quite stiff but a little oil resolved that matter. Good price and appears quite robust though may sit unused for some years.

Just what I needed.
It's one of those things you buy over a period of time, and then when you need it you can't find it. I've recently taken on a motorbike project for my grandson and needed to remove the valves to re-seat them. I couldn't find the one I bought back in the 70's so I bought this as it looked exactly the same, and it worked nicely. Good price and great quality. I hope I don't lose this one!

Bought this for a, hopefully, one off rebuild of my boat's engine. It worked well and for a DIY tool is excellent. A professional using it on a daily basis may have issues with build quality over time, but that said it is very good value for money.

Managed to compress one valve spring before it bent rendering it useless.

Land Rover cylinder head rebuild
Brilliant! Bought this valve spring compressor to rebuild my Land Rover 90 2.5ltr petrol cylinder head and was so easy. Great value for money and well built.

Not for double valve springs
Probably ok for regular engines, but forget it if you have double valve springs. Just too small a bit of kit.
