My fourth one?
Over the years I have bought several of these shoe racks because they are cheap and reasonably robust. The only time one has broken is when someone trod on the bottom rung and one of the beams snapped but it still worked well as a shoe rack even after that. The wood is a bit rough but I can accept that for the price. Assembly is not hard at all (although it is possible to assemble the whole thing backwards and not realise until you get to the final 4 pieces). Would buy again but I have enough shoe racks to last a while now...

A waste of money (even at this price!)
The only expectation I had was for the rack to stand and hold a few pairs of shoes without collapsing. Sadly, even this was too much to ask.The first version of the rack I received couldn't be assembled because the measurements between the bars were off by up to 5mm so it was impossible to fit the legs in between. One bar was already broken when I got it.The replacement rack arrived very quickly and it came in better shape than the first one. Even though measurements were still off by a few millimetres, at least it was possible to put the thing together. Having said that, the unit will only hold lighter shoes as it collapsed when I put hiking boots on there. If you do get this rack, my advice would be to have superglue to hand... But I would recommend you save yourself the hassle and spend £10 more....

A little bit unsteady but good for the price
This was fine for my purpose as it is hidden in a cupboard but I think it is a bit unsteady for heavy use, say by a front door. It was a bit fiddly to put together and felt as though it may snap, once it was together was ok but as I say, not really for heavy use. For the price and what I needed it for which was to tidy up shoes chucked in a cupboard it is perfect. It holds about 4 to 5 pairs of shoes on each shelf but ankle boots wouldn't fit on lower shelf. Overall for the price I would recommend.

Slots together nicely, looks ok, does the job
I bought this for my first home. I'm on a tight budget, and my partner and I only have about 10 pairs of shoes, so I wanted something small, cheap, and easy to put together. At the time of writing, this shoe rack is £8.49 with free UK delivery. To me, that's an excellent price. When you receive this shoe rack in the post, you might be surprised at how light the parcel is! The wood it's made from is very lightweight indeed. The wood looks nice - it's stained an attractive reddish brown as you can see in the picture - but as someone else mentioned, you might find that some of the stain has chipped off, revealing the lighter wood beneath. I'm not too bothered about that myself, but lots of people will be, so perhaps Amazon should check these things before wrapping and sending their product. The rack is really easy to put together; a child could do it. You just slot the four legs onto the two shelves and it's done. A two minute job - no screws or tools needed. This makes a nice change! The rack does feel a little flimsy when you put it up. It won't fall down - it's not unstable. It just sways gently when you push it, so don't put anything fragile on there of course. For storing shoes, it is sturdy enough and will do the job.I'd say you can fit 6-8 pairs of adult shoes on the shelving, plus there is room to store flatter shoes underneath the bottom shelf - I put things like flip flops, slippers and flat pumps under there. All in all, this is a good buy if you want something cheap, functional and easy to assemble. I'm happy with it :)

Good value simple shoe rack.
Exactly as in the picture. It comes flat-packed but the legs just slot into the two shelves. The wood is quite thin, perfectly adequate for shoes but it would not bear a person's, even a child's, weight, I suspect. Whether the push-fit joins come loose in time, I don't know but have reinforced the back ones with small screws. It holds 3 pairs of men's shoes on each shelf, and unlike some shoe racks, the shelves are flat (so no tendency for shoes to slide off) and there is adequate space for the lower shelf to be fully usable. Decent value.

Cheaply offered, thin, slots don't fit - but would make great firewood
Flimsy, slotted, cedar rack made of very thin, light material. The slots cut for fitting the pieces together weren't big enough so I had to shave out the slots for fit, splitting some of the wood in the process. Frustrating given that it was more expensive than the Songmics 4 Tier Natural Bamboo Shoe Rack Storage Organiser that I also ordered to help organise shoes and the mudroom.Opted to keep it as we really needed racks - however I put it in the bottom of a closet to keep it protected from children playing and bumping it as I fear the rack will break.Must say it does smell incredible though - great, strong, lovely cedar smell - may just end up burning the rack in the fire this winter if it breaks.

The packing was great. The product reached without any harm
The packing was great. The product reached without any harm. Easy to handle and does what it is supposed to. It looks quite delicate and you may think it might break easily but I have this in my storage and have really heavy stuff placed on it and it's still fine. But I wouldn't test it too much cause it is delicate and can break easily. But overall very pleased with the price and performance

Save your money
Very poor. When it arrived, it arrived as the two shelves, with the four legs with indents in the side to fit between the slats of the rack. I don't know who comes up with this stuff, but a) the gaps between the slats where you're supposed to fit the legs are smaller than the legs, so you have to break it to begin with and b) most of the slats were already loose and able to be easily moved around, so when you tried to fit the leg in it just immediately fell through. When I used some glue to try and make a botched job of it, the frame was very frail and weak, felt like a light breeze might blow it over or if the cat sat on it it might fall apart. Of course, it did fall apart again. It ended up somehow breaking in two that same day in the end.All in all, absolutely awful purchase please buy yourself something better.
