Works as Described
This Silence Corner Atoll X - Black Rotating Collar works very well with my Nikon D750 for use on my Benro Polaris Astro mount. Rotates easily. Very well built and sturdy. High quality craftsmanship product.

Shooting video with stabilizer DJI RS3
I have been using this item for over a month now and have no complaints about its build quality. It works perfectly and performs its function excellently. I purchased it primarily for shooting video in portrait orientation from a stabilizer. I use a Sony a7iii camera, a Dji RS3 stabilizer, and Sony GM 12-35/Zeiss 1.4-50 lenses for this purpose. With both lenses, the Pitch (Tilt) axis is constantly overloaded. I cannot achieve proper balance, and the camera constantly falls. However, I am still able to shoot for some time before the stabilizer's protection kicks in and it goes into sleep mode. Perhaps the DJI RS3 Pro version with stronger motors will handle this better. I have no disappointments about the purchase and would like to emphasize again that the product's quality is excellent.

Very well designed except for .................
First the positives. This rotating ring fit perfectly to the baseplate of my Sony A7Riv (it does not attach to the lens). The ring even has clearance for the Tamron 70-180 G2 lens USB-c connector bulge on the side - VERY NICE! The machining is well done and the ring rotates smoothly. There are no position markings on the ring but there are detents every 90 degrees (1/4 turn) that click letting you know the ring position. Now for the negatives. The lens release button is mostly covered making lens removal difficult without fingernails to reach under the ring and depress the lens release button. Unless you have very small hands your fingers will hit the rotating ring when you grip the camera. You cannot use an extended grip. And last this rotating ring adapter is very expensive to not be perfect. Honestly, the hand clearance and extended grip issues are common with nearly all of the rotating ring adapters. The lens release button accessibility issue could be corrected with an oversized, extended button like the Neewer ring adapter does. The Neewer ring adapter feels cheaper, does not have the clearance for Tamron G2 lenses USB-c lens connector, does not have 1/4 turn detent stops, and still has the finger clearance issue. Lastly, this is a very expensive rotating ring adapter to not be perfect.Overall, I believe this rotating ring has the best overall combination of features and I do recommend this rotating ring adapter. I am sure as time goes by the rotating ring negatives will be worked out by all the rotating ring manufacturers. If you have medium or larger hands, you mostly hand-hold your camera (no tripod), or you change lenses often you may get frustrated.

A Game Changer for Mirrorless Enthusiasts!
I recently got my hands on the Silence Corner Atoll C in Black and I must say, it has revolutionized my photography experience. The rotating collar is a game changer - allowing for lightning-fast orientation changes from vertical to horizontal, ensuring I never miss a shot. The ease of changing lenses is a breeze, saving me precious time on shoots. The universal tripod mounting is a welcome feature, making it compatible with my existing gear. What truly sets it apart, though, is its speed - it's noticeably faster than your standard L-bracket.The build quality is top-notch, providing a secure grip on my mirrorless camera. The black finish adds a sleek touch to my setup. This accessory is now an essential part of my kit, and I can't recommend it enough to fellow photographers. Kudos to Silence Corner for this fantastic addition to the photography world!

Fast! Easy. Life is simpler now.
I just love being able to quickly change orientations. There are annoyances, like the screw is hard to tighten and sometimes the lens moves if I forget. But remembering to tighten is still way way way less annoying than turning the camera on an L bracket. I am glad to have this. It is simple to reach the lens release button and the unit doesn't seem to be damaging the camera body. I leave it on 100% of the time now.

Model D has some issues
Works well in that it rotates the camera body and maintains composition. Purchased Model D to work with my Nikon D750 and was aware of the issues noted in the documentation. It worked with all my lenses - even those that stated it might not. However, had to position the ATOLL very carefully and it was still awkward to activate the lens release button. The device does interfere with the some of the lens switches but since I rarely touch them, it was no big deal. What was a big deal is that reviewers stated it worked with the Peak Design capture clip. Other models might, but the Model D does not - the extended base prevents use.

A bit of a disappointment...
The original one I ordered was the wrong size. I ordered the size C, the box was even labeled "Model C", but my lenses didn't fit. After reaching out to Silence Corner, they confirmed that it was indeed the wrong size. I was able to get it exchanged and hopefully it would be the right size. (It was)The replacement arrived, and it fit! I put it on per the instructions, my lenses fit and it rotated as it should. But here's where my disappointment set in.With the collar mounted properly, my hand BARELY fits between it and the grip of my camera. For reference, I use a Nikon Z6ii. When I have the collar set close to the body, my hand doesn't fit at all and I can't reach any of the Fn buttons. When I move the collar forward, my hand JUST squeezes past the collar, but it hurts. Maybe I just have big hands...I'm still giving it 2 stars since the product itself worked and functioned as it should. I was very much looking forward to using this product, but if I can't even hold my camera, what's the point?

Kompatibel mit Tamron 35-150 2-2.8
The media could not be loaded.

D850 camera
I liked the idea of being able to rotate the camera to different degrees but unfortunately it does not work with my Nikon d850. Some of my lenses will not attach and I can't access the remote control socket. So I feel I have wasted my money and a lot of it at that!
