Nice display cabinet, perfect for intended purpose.
I was looking for a deep spice rack or shelving unit for my kitchen to safely house my Arabia Moomin Mug collection (presently totalling 14 items) and found that although some shelves were the right height and width, the depth was not sufficient to house the 300ml mugs safely. I spotted this, intended more I think for die- cast collectibles, but as the proportions seemed perfect, I went for it.It arrived earlier than expected and was assembled in about 20 minutes to half an hour. Pretty straightforward although the screws holding the back plates could have been more robust. Three snapped, despite me being careful and only using a manual screw-driver as directed.I must say, I am really happy with the result. It houses all my mugs safely, behind a glass door, preventing dust and accidental breakages whilst keeping them accessible, which is important because they are used everyday. The best thing is that there is now room for the collection to grow - I have space for 6 more!

Nice once it's assembled but all backing board holes are in the wrong place.
I was looking for something to store my growing collection of cassette tapes and after getting no sense asking questions about cheaper cabinets I decided on this one and I'm glad I did.Assembling the main carcass involves screwing in 8 medium length screws into pre drilled holes. It takes about 10 or 15 minutes once you have everything ready to assemble. It's worth noting that the shelf holes are not symmetrical on the sides so your shelf space from lowest shelf to the carcass is different to the top shelf. Depending on what you want to display it might mean you have to consider which way up you position the unit. I only needed 3 shelves and it was important to note the position of the holes to ensure the shelves are evenly spaced. There were a couple of issues, the main one being that the pilot screw holes in the back that are supposed to be for mounting the rear panel to, were all in the wrong place and there was also only 16 predrilled in the carcass but the back panel has almost double the amount of holes. Not that it mattered as they all had to be drilled out anyway. The other minor issue was that they provided countersunk screws but the corner plates weren't countersunk so all the screws sit proud and mark the wall when you're trying to mount the cabinet. It also means that there's always going to be a slight gap between the unit and the wall. The supplied wall plugs are useless for plasterboard too and the heads of the mounting screws sit a few millimetres proud of the back, an issue not helped by the instructions telling you to fit washers to the mounting screws for no obvious reason. The little white stickers provided to cover the heads of the 4 mounting screws now sit about 4mm proud of the back panel but they will eventually be hidden by the tapes so it's not a major issue. It's a nice looking unit with more internal space than a lot of other cabinets which is what I wanted but it's let down by the poor quality control. The laminated pine is not the best I've seen but from a distance it looks OK. I would have preferred it to have been unvarnished so I could stain it to match the rest of the furniture or alternatively some different colour/stain options would also be a good idea. Considering the price of the unit and how expensive glass is I think it's pretty good value for money although the quality of the timber could be better.

If I had room,I would buy another one!
Very good quality cabinet which has no blind spots obscuring any of the displayed items. The glass sliding door is a great dust deterent and makes a nice alternative to hinged doors. I have utilised it for 1:43 scale diecast collection and it's a perfect fit!Fairly easy to construct but my only slight criticism is there are no drilled holes to attach the back board and the screw heads for this snap very easily too.Spares came in handy!Would recommend this to anyone wanting a spacious and stylish looking cabinet for a medium sized collection.

You will need to DIY
Overall, will I use this? Yes. Is it really terrible? No. But. Nine of the screw holes line up on the back. I'm not putting mine on the wall so only did the two on each side. I managed it by hand without drilling, the main wood is soft. And the back is slightly too big.I'd say pay more for better. I bought this when on sale for £23=ish.

Cheap looking.
I was struggling to find a wall cabinet with shelves wide enough for my display models, this was the only one I could find, however it is not the most attractive cabinet by any means, very cheap looking, if it had a proper door with hinges on it instead of a sliding piece of glass , that would improve the look of it.
