I LOVE this garden compost! I am so sold on it that I've just bought a second 25lb bag of it for more plants I'm going to put into the ground! Let me set the tone.... I have heavy clay soil, full of roots (some invasive and aggressive), and endless amounts of rocks (it's nearly impossible to dig in)! I live in zone 7a in West Virginia which gets extremely hot heat in summer, endless flooding in spring, ridiculously-dry dry spells and very-humid humid spells. And then even though we get mild winters, it still can get extremely cold here (even lows under zero degrees). It's just brutal all-around weather. Take all that and throw in the fact that I got 10 Walmart Climbing roses (bareroots) for $10 each in March (which many argue would be bad quality, and in March it is way too early to not get frost, which happened twice in April before April 29) and had to make it all work. I actually built the arbor walkway for the roses while I was sick with influenza A lol... and I used this compost with worm castings mixed in (both mixed in with native and some garden soil), and Mycorrhizal fungi sprinkled on the roots when planting these roses... AND LOOK!!! Just absolutely amazingly beautiful! They've grown so much and are already blooming -- ALL varieties! I have Iceberg (the beautiful silky white/cream ones)- which bloomed first and smell AMAZING, and America (the red/bright pink ones), and Lavender Crush (the purple ones, and smell INCREDIBLE too), and Perfume Breeze (the small light pink and white ones, that also are yummy smelling).... So I can't brag enough about this compost! It definitely didn't do all the miracle working, but it did work wonders! And it's safe and won't burn the plant roots like other animal-based composts will. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The picture progression speaks for itself!

So far the product is as advertised. No bad scent, no water at the bottom of the bag, the right amount of moisture so the compost isn't too dry. From the photo on the product listing, I was expecting a box twice as tall as the one I received. The box I received is 4.5 inches tall. The 10-pound box is for 7 quarts. I should have spent the extra $8 and ordered the 12-quart box of compost. It's a bit deceptive to use weight for one item (10 pounds for a 7-quart box) and quantity for another of the same product (12 quarts with no weight in the main title). But now I can't locate the 12-quart listing anywhere, even in the Old Potters store on Amazon. I'll be using this sparingly and supplementing with soils from my local hardware store.

So it just arrived and I specifically ordered it because it said indoor/outdoor.. luckily I opened it on my enclosed porch and not in my house because the smell is so bad and so strong that even after resealing the bag (which I appreciate) it still smells awful! I will update on if the horrid smell was worth it
