Bit strange...manufactured on demand? Checked on-line to persuade myself that was legitimate - apparently it is. Arrived in a couple of weeks. Very good quality picture. As others have stated - looks Region Free - certainly plays on UK DVD players. It's only a handful of episodes - but to be honest, that's all I wanted.

Loved this Classic Childhood Series that was on During Saturday Mornings when I was a kid growing up in the 1980s would have been 12 when this came out and being Region Free this was a Gem to watch.

The Centurions Mini-series on DVD.This release has the first 5 episodes of the show. 'The Sky is on Fire, Battle Beneath the Sea, An Alien Affair, Found: One Lost World and Sand Doom.As a mini-series, it's really just 5 stand alone episodes with no true continuity, these episodes can be watched in any order, however it does it's job to tell us how the Centurions save the world from their primary nemesis; Doc Terror and his forces, as well as other threats to the Earth and humanity.Warner's MOD department used a 35mm film print version of these episodes, which gives it a better looking feel to it, though the episodes used are not uncut. The episodes themselves are, but each episode is supposed to have a factoid segment at the each of each episode telling kids a little more info about a topic of the episode like undersea exploration and dinosaurs. Sadly these factoid segments are not included here. You do get the old Centurions break bumper though during each episode, some fans may like these, others may find them a little annoying, you have been forewarned. Also Found: One Lost World is missing it's title card, instead they had the Centurions break bumper play instead. Though that and the lack of factoids is a minor gripe, if you just want the episodes, they are here. Though this is why I only gave this release 4 stars, instead of 5.Overall not a bad way to start collecting the Centurions. And now Warner MOD has released two more sets (with 30 episodes a piece) to complete the series, and yes this disc and all other Warner MOD titles are region free.

Excellent item, works fine on my UK dvd player and tv. So good to be able to watch episodes from this series again, hope we get the complete collection released at some point in the future, but in the meantime this is great!

Brillant childhood memories and my kids love watching it too

Me and my brother seem to be the only two people who remember this programme so I was very excited to fianlly find a region free copy! And the acrtoon is as brilliant as I remember!

This is a classic show and I'm so glad to have found it. The quality of this dvd is superb. I just hope they release the rest of the episodes.
