Swanson 100% Natural Unsalted Beef Broth, 32 oz. (Pack of 12)

I use this as a base for my udon noodles. The chicken broth flavor don't taste right for that purpose. The broth is unsalted so you will need to buy a bottle of Japanese concentrated udon broth and add a teaspoon of hondashi to flavor this beef broth, but it comes out very similar to restaurant udon broth.

I use this to soften my senior pups dry food. That way he has low sodium. I have tried other brands but this one is his favorite. I also noticed a difference myself in flavor. It is rich and doesn’t lack flavor at all. Very happy I can buy in bulk through Amazon because it’s hard to find in grocery stores sometimes.

I can't have most broths due to added soy, starches, etc.. This has great ingredients and performs similarly to my bone broth at a much cheaper price. The seal is not broken until you open it. The plastic cap does have prongs in it so by turning the cap and opening it you are breaking that seal. Most containers just use a plastic seal but this one uses foil as well and the cap breaks that seal for you.

Item is good but ordered a case in late July and they sent all expiring in September. A lot to use in 3 months!!

We love this product. The chicken version is nowhere near as robustly flavored as the beef version. If you want or need lower sodium in your diet this product opens up a ton of flexibility. As always with a food product that comes by the case, consider buying and trying one locally. Hope it works for you!

This was a bad idea to order for delivery. The product is fine and priced right, but it arrived with several damaged boxes, some even leaking. It simply is too heavy to ship in the box Amazon put it in.I bought it here because it is sometimes difficult to get at my local supermarket. They don't carry a lot of no-salt broth (reduced sodium is still a lot of sodium) so a dozen boxes from Amazon seemed ideal. I think next time I'll order just 2 or 4 at a time and see if they survive the trip.

Very good price for an item that's not easily found in stores. Staying on a low-sodium diet is important, and when I make sauces and soups I like to control the salt.
