D'Addario Accessories, Hydrate Fingerboard Conditioner 1oz, by D'Addario (PW-FBCS)

I wish it came in bigger bottles. This is the only liquid that touches the necks on my guitars. It cleans them before waxing. Now that JJ is no longer with us (R.I.P.) Hydrate Meguirs Metal is the last of the miracle potions guitar techs have. If I'm missing something, fill me in. I'm working on my own Gorgomyte and I'm close, but JJ had it. Any Hydrate is wonderful stuff. Use it liberally to clean and condition your fretboard. Put a little on a rag after a hot gig and wipe down your strings and guitar body. It's just amazing stuff. I don't know why it's so good. It just is. I wish I could get it a 1/2 pint at a time at a good price.

So far I like it. My guitars seem to appreciate it as well! My only complaint is it seems a little thin, but that may actually be perfectly normal. I’m no expert so take that assessment with a grain of salt.

Its perfect for those dry fret boards... works amazing. Used on fender, Gibson, Gretsch and Martin..

This is all you need for your fretboard and removing those strong drool and sweat spots. First couple of times you do your fretboard, put a drop between each fret and don’t be stingy. Then wipe the entire board down with a clean micro fiber cloth. Get right next to the get wire to clean it up. By now your cloth is probably gross with fretboard junk. Wash it with detergent and repeat the procedure. This time we want the little slots where the frets drop in to get a good soaking as well as the board. Use a little less on maple top boards as they don’t absorb as well. Use it on the back of the neck to clean it as well. Don’t use anything with silicone. When you wash your rag never use any softener or dryer sheets as the cloth will not absorb as well. Get a couple of bottles and use any time you need to wipe down the neck. Let me put in a must have for Gorgamyte. Incredible. Use only a 2”*2” piece and you will not believe the junk it comes up with. Use it till it’s black as coal. Do these things and know that a pro told you so.

I had a super dry neck on my V guitar that I bought brand new online. I had some other brand of pure " lemon oil" for guitars. So I put several coats on it and it still lookes dull. So I got some of this stuff, and wow,you could tell right away this stuff was good. It just ran into all the lines and very fine cracks and tiny holes in the wood. This stuff saved me from having to buy another neck for my guitar. Im getting more of this.

I tried this product and found on ebony fretboard it turned paper towels and cloths black and started spreading black to my white bindings. This might be normal, I'm not sure but I only used it one time.

I used this on 2 electric guitars. There was no unpleasant smell. It soaked in well and was easy to use.
