Barely functional and unsafe TV streaming boxes.
The particular box has some problems. These low priced android TV boxes are not worth buying. First, they all use a genetic Chinese lay over menu in place of the actual android menu. This setup menu contains programming bugs and many forced limitations. For example, if you do manage to set up a keyboard with this boxes and you enter information, as soon as you press “Enter” a letter “q” will be inserted at the end of what you have already entered. This is a bug that has been around for many years now but they just don’t care because they assume that you will only want to managed their meager TV menu system with their crappy remotes. So you are not given any choice as to how you are able to setup this boxes up. The bottom line is that android functionalities are crippled so that they can provide a basic TV streaming interface and that is why most of these TV boxes are slow or have other problems. If you do manage to install your own launcher hoping to be able to install Netflix from the play store or hoping that that will fix the problems, you will run into all those problems stated above and others. you’ll find out ,for example, that wallpaper setting is turned off, widgets setting capabilities are turned off, or other settings are turned off. You are stuck with their meager TV menu setup and their buggy android setup menu. You can actually do much more with the android setup menu system, butunfortunately, they all use that genetic lay over menu system described above. If you just want to do streaming alone, your best bet is to get a google certified box. In that case, you probably won’t be able to get out of that system but at least it might turn out to be a less buggy and more responsive TV Box.Here is the important warning about these cheap boxes: Most of them contain a back door to other unknown sources and entities such as hackers, advertisers, revenue mining software, etc. So, you are completely exposed to the malignancy of the internet while using what you thought was a harmless tech toy. Don't forget that when you hook these boxes to your network, they have the same security rights that other devices and software in your network have and if you have financial data or any other important personal data in your network it it will be unsafe.

All these non Google Certified boxes come with preinstalled malware.
I'd give it 5 stars if it didn't contain malware preinstalled. It worked great for a week or 2, but after that it started losing Bluetooth connectivity, and it started ignoring the remote. I did some online searches and found that this model, along with dozens of others, come from the factory with Badbox malware. It doesn't do any good to factory reset it because it's written into the image that gets restored. There is a "firmware update" available online, but it's older than the one that comes with it and I fear it will either contain the malware too, or just OTA update itself to the latest version. What I did to make it work was to hard reset it with the hidden reset button in the AV jack. Before connecting to the internet, I sideloaded RethinkDNS and set it up to autostart with the firewall set to block the 5 Command and Control domains of the Badbox malware. Then I proceeded as usual. This made it usable. What I learned for $30 is to just spend the extra $10-$20 for a Google Certified box. They are checked by Google to not contain known malware before they are certified. My box didn't begin misbehaving until it was out of the return window, so I needed to find a way to mitigate the problem.Edit June 23, 2024: Well, the box went to crap again after a day or so. I flashed the firmware update but that didn't fix the wifi being dead. Neither did flashing the other, older firmware, so I flashed it back. Maybe it's a heat issue that killed the wifi. I'll find out when I get time to take it apart and replace things if I am able. The seller offered a full refund that I declined. I'll raise my rating to 3 stars because of this, although if it was just the product and not the seller being rated, I'd give it 1 star. The seller is only 1 of many selling these boxes because they are so popular. Do yourself a favor and only purchase Google Certified TV boxes. Most any of the others are going to be cheap Chinese junk boxes that would never pass certification.

It works for YouTube
I use this to watch YouTube videos on my bedroom, it works well for that. I wish I could program the remote to change the TV input and go into the menu but it only seems to work for on/off.

Don’t waste your money by a little bit more expensive one
The media could not be loaded. Bought this unit and it’ll place some of the movies OK. But majority of the movies all in slow motion as you can see in my video. So don’t waste your money on this unit right here. Try to find a little bit more expensive one. Because you know the saying you get what you pay for is $29 and that’s too high for the quality.

Works intermittently. Don't belive the hype.
It takes a lot of fiddling to see a show or movie. Big learning curve. Also has commercials that are difficult to make go away. Android gimmick.
