I use GoPros professionally and destroy multiples each year. This upgrade is well worth it since it allows me to attach the GoPro to super clamps and other mounting systems that use the standard 1/4-20 threaded mount. The flaps have the same magnetic property as the original so they fold out of the way easily. They are made from durable metal and fit perfectly. The screws included are longer than the original GoPro versions, but I've had problems with the screws rattling out during normal use so the additional length is a positive.

This item installed with no problem and had screws with a type of loctight on each screw and an included screw. The problem is that the 1/4x20 hole is shallow and you need to be careful not to screw in the tripod screw to the point of damage to the go pro. Must have a way to stop go pro from rotating on the tripod before the actual screw bottoms out on the go pro and damages the case of the camera. The quality of the piece seems good and has magnets to hold ears in place.

Cheap junk! The fingers are wiggly, they unfold into each other, the materials feel much thinner and cheaper than the original. I actually tossed it in a drawer and decided not to install it after comparing it to the one that cam on my GoPro.

It boggles my mind that GoPro doesn’t make folding fingers with a 1/4” tripod mount for the GoPro Hero 11 even though they make it for the Hero 12. So here I am on Amazon, having to buy a third-party folding fingers for my GoPro Hero 11. So be it.It was very easy to take the four screws out of the existing folding fingers, and I actually simply reused the same screws to mount the folding fingers with 1/4 inch Thread, I loosely screwed all four screws in and then tightened each one down a little more firmly.I was a disappointed that the provided screws did not appear to have a dab of Loctite on them. That is why I decided to simply reuse the existing screws . Some of the third-party folding fingers don’t have magnets on the fingers to hold the them firmly to the GoPro hero case. These do have the magnets, and they seem to be strong. I have no complaints other than the fact that the screws lacked Loctite which is why I deducted one star.

This mount is easy to replace the current mount for GoPro 9. Having the screw thread option allow mounting to just about any tripod/monopod you can get. Highly recommend it. Bonus, the screws have lock thread already applied.

This allows you to use all 1/4"-20 tripod mounts... you know, like every other camera in existence. Just buy it! Still allows you to use proprietary GoPro compatible mounts as well, if you're already invested.
